Hello, I've added subtitles for a video on videopad but when i try to export it, it does exports the original video without any subtitles. Can anyone help?? Inbar

Hi, I am unable to read video file although I've purchased the Pro licence from Express Scribe. I have tried different files type all recommended by NCH and none work. The file download as normal, but I am not able to read it or see any preview image in the video viewport.

I can load the video file into Express scribe but cannot get it to play on my iMAC.

I just downloaded the Videopad free software. I am able to import mp4 and mp3 files, however, when trying to add the mp4 to the video track or trying to preview it, the video does not play. Instead, the preview screen is just black. Please help.

Just paid for, downloaded and registered VideoPad. Am mid a project. Want to include some stock audio clips. I used this feature already, but now it is greyed out. So are video effects. Any idea why?

Hey, y'all. I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I have the pro version of Express Scribe and every time I load a video file, it loads successfully. However, when I go to play the file, nothing happens. It just sits there like a beached whale. Audio files load and play just fine. I can convert any video files into audio files and transcribe just fine, but there are some drawbacks to doing this. For instance, I obviously can't see the video while I'm transcribing. And I've recently discovered that for long files, the timecode can drift by a few seconds for some reason. It would be extremely helpful if I could play video files on Express Scribe. Any ideas?

Hello I am new to these forums so if this has already been answered please direct me to the post but if not well here is my problem. I have recorded some footage and put it into VideoPad but the sound is out of sync with the video, I would be fine with this if the video it self was out of sync but when I just play the raw footage it is in perfect sync. So far I have concluded that it must be something wrong with VideoPad. If there is a way to fix this in the settings or something please inform me and if you are having the same problem feel free to post as well. Thanks and have a great day.

I recently recorded a video that I plan to upload to youtube (And I'm very sorry if I'm in the wrong forum) I used VideoPad to edit, and after every day, I would export my project as an mp4 so I would have a backup in case the project decided not to work. But once I was finally finished editing and I wanted to export it for the last time, it wouldn't let me. Instead, it said that I had to buy Videopad. When I first downloaded it, though, it said that it was free, and some elements cost money. But when I had exported my video before, it had never said that eventually I'd have to pay for it. Is there a way to export my video in the free version, or will I have to buy Videopad?

Hey there, i hope i have the rigt forum now 🙂 I made a photopresentation in Photostage, but the video's i added were playing to slow while the audio is good. the pictures are starting while the video is still running, The sync is away now. Do you know what i am doing wrong?

I can capture video (including audio) from my digitised VHS tapes by Firewire but I can only monitor video. I can watch the video being recorded. The audio is silent but the meter shows the audio volume is being detected. There is an audio button but it only stops the audio being recorded. There is no way to hear the audio being recorded. When I play the recorded video the audio plays as it should - video and audio. How can I monitor the audio during capture. I have just tried to document this again but the trial period seems to have expired as I was writing this - about 2 weeks after installing it..

I've had the same problem with my video projects not being recognized and recoverable from a folder I have for my VP (.vpj) files. I am unable to pull in the project and continue the job from the .vpj files. It simply doesn't find them. Lost work! I read all of the other complaints and replies for fixing but I will I need to carefully save the work in some other way? . As I edit and develop my project I always SAVE PROJECT. I assume this saves EVERYTHING that I have done thus far. I'm thinking of saving the project as .MP4 and work with that format. Frustrating problem. I hope this problem can be resolved. Many of us like your products.

I've been using Videopad for awhile now - mostly just to edit client demo's or trim video for the internet. So those things are easy for me. Now I have a more difficult task. I have some video files that were transferred from VHS tapes many years ago. They're from when we were on location making movies in other parts of the world. There's some stuff that's fun to revisit but the quality is often less than great. The sound can be inconsistent (loud from the person who was shooting the video - and quieter from who was being filmed). So first question - 1. Is there a way to normalize the sound throughout? And if there's ambient noise in the background can that be fixed at all? There are some portions where the video has part of the picture distorted. The way old VHS tape would sometimes go bad if you can remember that. So second question - 2. Is there a way to trim off the bottom of the video? I have these files as VTS so once I import them into Videopad and finalize my edits my next questions are - 3. What is the best way to save as Mp4? What resolution? Can my choices here make the old video look worse? Maybe I'm hoping for something that just can't be fixed but if anyone has any experience with this or suggestions to try I am very open to hearing from you! Thanks!

I am new to video editing and would greatly appreciate it if someone could advise me regarding "Device Settings", "Encoder Settings" and "Property" Settings for video capture please. I am using a video capture device with the red, yellow and white RCA plugs (plus S Video) with a USB connector for the PC. My PC is 3.6Ghz, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10. I have the latest version of Videopad and plenty of spare disk space. I would like to capture video from the following devices: Sony Digital Camera/Recorder (Mini DV Cassette tapes); Sony Handycam Camera/Recorder Hi8; and a standard VHS player. In the "Record"-> "Record Video" under the "Devices" window I have selected "USB 2861 Device" (there is no other choice); "Line (Master AV Cap)" - I assume this is my capture card - the only other choice is a mic I have connected; and "640x480 [4:3] 29.97fps" which is top of the list and therefore I assume it is the default. Under the "Device Settings" -> "Properties" ->"Video Decoder" tab the only change I have made is to select "PAL_B" instead of "NTSC-M" which is what it was when I first opened Videopad. I have NOT checked the "VCR Input" box. I have not made any changes to the default settings under the "Video Proc Amp" or "Video Image" tabs. As I am using the "640x480 [4:3] 29.97fps" setting (default???) should I check the "Video Input" box in the "Video Decoder" tab when I use the VHS player AND the cameras or should it only be checked when using the VHS player? Or should I not check it at all? Also, in the "Video Image" tab should I change "Pic Size" from "Default" to "640x480" to match it to the "640x480 [4:3] 29.97fps" setting? On burning my first effort to DVD (burnt at 4:3) which I took from video captured on my Sony Digital Camera/Recorder (Mini DV Cassette tape) reproduction was reasonably good but there were times with fast moving subjects when their image momentarily "ghosted". When the recording was taken (some 20 years ago) the camera was set to "Very Fine Picture Quality" in order to capture fast moving people and objects. For capturing the images I had Videopad set to "640x480 [4:3] 29.97fps" and "PAL_B" - no other changes were made to the default settings. Is anyone able to suggest how I might obtain the best quality capture and DVD reproduction through my cameras and VCR please? Thank you.

Hi all, I have been a Videopad user for about 2 years and although I have had quite a few bugs, have never come across something so confusing. Every time I try to export this particular video the audio is perfect, but the video appears extremely out of sync and is even including parts of the cut down footage that aren't in the sequence!? I am currently using version 7.30 and would upgrade if it wasn't for having to pay again. Can someone please help, I have tried exporting in multiple formats, resolution and fps, researched online but nothing. Thanks in advance, Alex

Hi I tried to open a project of mine that I was working on for a few weeks yesterday, when it came up with this message: It is saved on an external hard drive so I used another PC to try and open the project, but the same message came up. I tried to open previous projects and they opened up perfectly fine. I didn't notice anything strange when I saved my project last. Is there any way I can fix this problem and retrieve back the project I was working on? Thanks

I Recently bought Debut Video Capture Software. I was able to record and the recording was great. However the audio is not that good. so am wondering if there is a way of editing(Improving Sound quality, Removing background noise) the audio to improve sound quality or any audio software i can use?. I found Video Pad and am not sure if it is the right software to buy before I invest in it. I've already found out about an exciting features Video Pad offers, I just wanted to be sure its a great tool to edit audio in my video. Thanks

Hello! I'm looking for a way to export a video through VideoPad with an alpha channel layer in it's background? I understand the only two formats capable of this are .FLV and .MOV being as they're the only ones that can play in QuickTime player, but it doesn't seem that VideoPad Editor gives me the option! In a more specific context to my situation, I'd like to arrange an overlay to my video that plays in 10 fps, and have a background that plays in 30 fps. I don't necessarily prefer using the "Change Clip Speed" option, because it also adds a very strange and unwanted blurry transition between each slowed frame. If anybody knows of any solutions such as a frame-limit VirtualDub plugin or other means, please let me know! Thanks! VM

HI I NEED URGENT HELP WITH EXPORTING VIDEO - DEADLINE TODAY VIDEO EXPORTS AS BLANK SCREEN AND AUDIO ONLY . I have paid for full version and dont want my money wasted!! I usually export videos on Videopad and its completely fine. But I have now finished a video and need to download it - I have a tight deadline which is today. Please help me, I'm not very technical, I just need a quick fix. Thank you so much Mia

Hi Team, I`m testing the Express Talk with our SIP PBX. I found that Express Talk supports video codec h263 only. is it possible to enable h264? or will it be supported in the future version? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks

I'm working on a project with multiple video tracks and one audio track. I've attempted to export dozens of times. The exporting stops at 97.5%, or currently it is stopping at 99.5%. There have been other times when it seems to export with lightening speed, but there is no completed video just 2 seconds of black screen. I do not know what is stopping the file from completing.

I'm just getting the hang of Video Pad video editor, but am held up now because two of my clips do not animate in the editor - in other words the video screen shows a fixed image while the audio is playing. Can anyone help with this? The other clips in the sequence behave normally. I've tried deleting and reloading one of the clips but no change.

I would like to know if there is a way to record video onto a project which is automatically in sync with existing audio. I have aa music backing track already in the project. Whilst listening to it wearing headphones, I press "record video" and sing along in time with it. When done the recorded video is in the recorded video bin and I then have to drag it onto the project timeline. However as there was a delay between my pressing "play" for the audio backing track and "record" for my video, the two are not in sync and I have to drag the video file around to try and line it up with the audio. It would be so much better if I could just drag the video onto the beginning of the timeline and the two would automatically be in sync so I don't have to faff around trying to line them up together. Does anyone know of a quick and easy way of getting them in sync?

Hey there, I wasn't having this issue initially, but after tinkering with VideoPad to get my images to actually Export, it no longer exports the entire video no matter what I think to do. The full file size of the video should be around 2 gig, but every single time it is only exporting the first 400mb and I have literally no idea what is happening. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Hello everyone I apologize for my bad english. I have a problem in videopad , when I upload a video from ytb downloader and I load it in videopad , the image sequence starts working for less then 10 sec and the image stops at one point and the sound goes on (it's lik when we had the television and the signal was bad , we'll hear only the sound but the video stops) Can you help me please , i bought this software programme 3 days ago and now it's stops it's very unpleasant.
