So I was making a video and I export it, I had a few transitions in it but never showed up in the exported video in my computer files. Please help.

I cannot determine why the "wavy x" transition is set up in some cases and not others. I use the split tool to cut the video, and would like to get a transition "wavy x" on each use. Is that possible?

I am having a lot of trouble with transitions. They all worked when I purchased video pad almost 2 years ago but now only a couple fades and, strangely, 3D transitions work but nothing else! I even have the problem on clean newly produced videos. I have tried adjusting the length of the transition. I downloaded the trial version of videopad on another computer and the transitions worked on the same clips that do not work on my paid for version. Version 7.03 Hope someone can help. David

Hello everyone, So I am currently using VideoPad Video Editor to edit a music video for a client and so far it has been very good.But when sending out an exported rough cut of the video to a group of editors, an editor noted that after one of the transitions, there is a quick flash. I realized it was the fade transition going from nothing to the image, but once the transition ends, it cuts right to the video clip. I realized what was going on. It creates a weird "flash" effect because the clip during the transition is dark, but once the transition is over, it cuts to the original video clip which is light. I tried my hardest to try and fix it but I think it is just the software and there is nothing to be done about it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a way to fix it or is that just how the transition is and there is nothing to be done? All input is appreciated. Thank you, LaTasia G.

Whenever I add audio to my sequence, it gets rid of all my transitions. I add in all the transitions (crossfade) perfectly fine. All looks good. Then I start dropping in tracks and all of a sudden, my transitions are gone. I can add the transitions in again but then my audio is not properly synced to the timing of the video due to the slight overlap of the clips when doing a crossfade transition. What can I do to fix this?

So I'm making a slide show with gifs. (short couple second video clips) I duplicated most of the gif slides as many were real short less than a second. In order for it to look like a longer slide I went to remove the transition. It worked fine on the first couple except after clicking on the remove tab; the other tabs (Apply - Apply to all) went dark and could not be activated. I left the transition at the end of the slide moving on to the next set. About the 4th or 5th set when I clicked the next transition of the next slide to be edited all the previous transitions reverted back to their original setting. Not being able to activate the Apply buttons I tried saving the project after each transition edit. Didn't work. So I'm kind of stuck on the project; anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

Hi, how do i set all photos on the timeline to the same duration? And how to I set a default transition (including duration?) and why when i delete a photo does it delete a part of my sound track? Thanks! Solara xxx

Is it possible to add transitions on clips that don't have an "X"?

I have a smallish issue that I found when clipping sections of a video then rejoining them whereby the automated transition icon is not present between the clips. Is there a way to manually insert transitions? I was able to do this with Camtasia until I switched to VideoPad (which is 100 times more reliable) Thank you in advance

I'm making very simple slideshows for my family, often involving many photos. I would like to place the same transition after each photo. Is there a quick way to apply the same transition to my entire project, or must I manually set the same transition after each photo, many times? Thank you very much.

Hi, I want to add transitions between my video clips but the transitions cut into the previous clip. The transition starts before the preceding video clip has finished so you can still hear the audio but cannot see the video. I've tried adjusting the duration of the transition to fix this but it doesn't make a difference. I want the video to be able to finish before the transition starts. How do I do this please? Hello, I'm trying to add transitions between clips. This sometimes works. However, sometimes I select a clip, click on the X between the clips or on the Transitions icon in the toolbar, and the transitions window pops up as normal, but the Transition Properties button at the bottom left is greyed out, and any transition which I select is not applied. Please can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to prevent it? I've tried saving the project first; closing the project and re-opening it; closing the application and re-opening it; having the cursor in the selected clip; having the cursor not in the selected clip; selecting multiple clips.

I have a question about the clip transitions, I usually have video that consist out of a lot of clips and I want to do a transition (fade through white) between all of them. I have always done it manually which takes quite some time and gets tedious. Is there a way to automatically put a transition between all the clip? Thank you, Trex

I just upgraded to V4.58, and I'm suddenly having a problem with transitions getting lost. I set all the transitions on my video and test them out one by one. They seem to work. When I''m done, and I play back the video, most of the transitions are lost. I tried resetting each one as before, and on playback, they're all lost again. How can I stop this from happening so I can finish creating my video? I also notice that transitions get erased if I make any adjustment to an image that's affected by the transition. This is a big annoyance that I'd like to eliminate.

Does anyone have a theory as to why transitions are not being added to my sequence? (I know how to do this but after selecting the effect it is not showing up and just a hard cut between scenes remains). Am I missing something?

Ok so i recently purchased the software and got to work on a video. The video part transitions flawlessly, as in goes to the next place I split from the last, however, when I put a still .png image in, and text over it, in the final product it takes longer and longer each time and its covering up important parts of my video. It never does it in the preview. I need help, I've put a lot into this.

I am using the latest version of Videopad professional (v3.81), on a Windows 32 bit machine running Windows 7. The two faults have been present in previous versions too, and are easily replicated. Take any two clips, with movement so that each frame transition can be easily seen, and place them on the timeline (could also accomplish this by placing a single clip on the timeline and splitting it). If this simple sequence if exported, everything is fine. Now, firstly, if a simple fade transition is used between the two clips, everything appears fine on the sequence pane when stepping through frame by frame. However, when exported (mp4, H264), duplicated frames exist at the start, mid-point, and end of the transition. Frames are also missing, so that the exported sequence is the same length as the original sequence. These duplicated/missing frames can be easily seen by adding the exported video file to the project, and stepping through, frame by frame, and comparing to the original sequence. Secondly, if we return to the original dual clip sequence, without a transition, and add a visual effect (e.g. brightness) to the second clip as an effect across the whole clip, without using keyframes, then the exported file is fine. However, if we use keyframes to vary the brightness across the clip, then the exported file has several duplicated/missing frames across the whole clip (seem to occur every fourth frame). Both of these faults cause visible stuttering in the exported file, which renders these effects/transitions unusable. These problems have existed in the software for several months, across several updates/releases. I cannot use the software in its present form, which is a pity, as other than these significant faults, the software is nice to use. Please advise.

I recently inserted a static photo into a project of about 20 other images. The program shortened the fade from 1.5 seconds to about .25 and I can't adjust it to be any longer than that. This also happened with a video transition. Any ideas?

I want images to slowly fade out, with the next image slowly fading into view. In other words, a slow fade. Instead my images slowly fade out, and the next one appears abruptly no matter what I do. What can I do to correct this? Update: I found that the transitions control this feature. The longer the transition you post, the slower the fade. Experiment with various transition timings to get the effect you want.
