  1. I have split one track into three clips, then duplicated that track (by right-clicking on it and choosing "Duplicate Track" option), then deleted the middle clip from the first track, and the first and the third clips from the duplicate track. I did so because I wanted to apply some effects to the middle part while keeping the first and the last parts intact. However, after I had applied an effect (reverb) to the middle part of duplicate track (which by now was the only clip on that track), I discovered that same effects were also automatically applied to the clips on the original track. And later, when I cancelled the effects on the original track (by click on "Fx" and then unchoosing the applied effects), cancellation also took place automatically on the duplicate track! So, is it like if you duplicate a track by using "Duplicate Track" option on the menu, whatever effects are applied on the duplicate track, they will also be duplicated on the original one? If so, then I don't quite see the point of it. Can somebody, please, explain what is that needed for?
  2. Hi. I´m new to VideoPad. My first project contains a video on Track 1 and a few occasional still photos on Track 2. My problem is that my photos have another aspect ratio compared to the video (which is more wide screen). When the photos are showing I want black stripes on each side of the photo. I DO NOT want to see Track 1 as stripes to the left and right of the photo. On my very first attempt to export the film I got exactly that - black stripes left and right. So I know it can be done. Now, after a few adjustments to my project, I cannot achieve that anymore. It looks allright in the preview, but the exported film shows Track 1 as stripes lift and right of the photo. Unable to find the settings which gave the desired result in my first attempt. What´s the magical trick?
  3. Basically my export video does not look like the exported version. My video has 3 video tracks and 2 audio tracks. The eye icon is ok and all are visible for output. In preview all looks perfect. When I export the video file in HD 1080p to my laptop the video looks great except my video track 1. It contains a video that repeats itself 9 times (each clip is saved under its own name). It is used as a background (behind) video track 2 because some of my videos on track 2 were shot horizontally. The background video shows up in the export version only for the 1st clip....the other 8 don't show up. In the preview mode they all show up just fine. I have exhausted all my solution ideas and I need help. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am presenting this video in 4 days. I have Video Pad professional v 7.11. I paid for this software.
  4. Newbie here. I was trying to add titles and clips between some clips I had already put into a sequence, and I seem to have inadvertently created a second "video track." I now have "Video track 1" and "Video track 2". When I preview the sequence, it shows the added clip in the right place. However, when I go to Storyboard, I don't see the clips from "Video track 2". All I want is a single sequence. Why did I get a "Video track 2", and how do I combine the two tracks into a single track? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi everyone! I just started using Videopad & have a question about offsetting an audio track that was recorded on a separate device from the video camera, (same performance, but video and audio were started at different times.). I see that I can click and drag the audio track and move it left or right. A small window pops up and shows an offset time. Can I manually type in an offset time somewhere to get an exact time? I have searched and cannot find a place to enter an offset time for a track. Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi all, I'm looking into using MixPad as a replacement for MixMeister (MM) as they stopped developing or giving support since they have been a part of the Numark family. There is a large user base of fitness instructors worldwide which is using MixMeister (MM) to create beautiful playlists for fitness workouts. I've been using MM for 12 years now. I've been looking into MixPad last night. Looks very promising. I'll keep on testing. One thing I missed: - Is it possible to create a complete playlist or file which can be burned to a CD and be split into tracks or export as several MP3 tracks? I tried the bookmark feature, but that doesn't seem to doe it. As an instructor it is very handy to have your 1 hour workout being split in tracks, but at the sametime you want them to be mixed into one seamless mix from track to track... Jasper
  7. I am trying to create an MP3 CD. This is not my first MP3 CD. However, this one is a little different because it is for musical accompaniment for prison ministry so we need all the songs on the same CD. When I initially tried placing all the songs the total length was about 5MB too long. So I first tried checking the overburn option, but the tracks were not marked correctly. When skipping to the track I want, it would be in the middle of another song. So then I tired making several of the longest songs smaller by using Switch to decrease the KBPS. I unchecked the overburn box and reburned. It had the same result exactly. The tracks were marked incorrectly in the exact same place as before. And it doesn't seem to matter what I do anymore the tracks are no longer correct. I have tried a number of things. I actually think it is the files somehow. I tried burning different music files and they work fine. I tried burning fewer of the files and the tracks are still off. I then noticed that the bit rate of the other files were 128kbps and the ones that are off was 256kbps. So I uses Switch to convert all of them to 128kbps. But this still did not fix the tracking issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  8. Is there a way to have 1 track get quieter by a certain amount of decibels each time another audio track has something playing? Or is manually decreasing the track at select points the only way?
  9. Hi, folks. Brand new to Mix and Wave both; trying to assist a friend who is less familiar with audio editing. From all I can determine, though I can't find it mentioned anywhere, it is impossible in Mixpad to paste, for example, a 5-second selection into a 1-second space between two clips on a track and have the second automatically move down the track. In video eidting, this is called rippling, and it appears to be the default function in WavePad, as it is in Audacity. If I'm wrong, please tell me what I'm missing. If I am right, perhaps someone might suggest the most efficient way to use the two applications in assembling a narrative about piece of music, in which the voice and musical selections alternate, i.e, he talks about the music, plays an ilustrative selection, then speaks again, etc. I had suggested that he record the entire narration (which is extemporaneous, not read from script), review and drop-in additional/replacement sentences; make his selection clips from the whole piece (often 10-30 seconds each from a half-hour piece), and then insert them. I thought it to be easier to place each on a track in MixPad, but since clips don't move down upon insertions... Any suggestions? Stick entirely with WavePad? Thanks.
