When recording narration I am a little confused as to how the controls work on the form. Despite Google searches I cannot find any explanation. So the buttons are Start, Stop & Pause. In the case when I am doing 20 minutes of narration and make a mistake after 10 minutes, how do I go back to before the mistake and redo the incorrect bit and then carry-on through to the end of my 20 minutes? If I stop, then Videopad creates a new file from the start point? If I pause, does Videopad continue with the existing file when I press continue (ie Start button again)? Can I drag the recording slider back before the error and just redo - will Videopad just create a single file again? Garteful for some advice on this please.

I have installed Express Dictate on a Mac 10.6.8. It recorded one time only and now I get the message "unable to start sound record device." My computer is able to record from Quick Time but not Express Dictate. There seems to be a disconnect with this software and the computer. Any help out there?

Instructions read: If you are trying to record sound from streaming video on your computer, you would need to use a stereo mix option (if your sound card supports this). In most cases, you can connect a male to male 3.5mm stereo cable from the speaker output on the computer to the Line In port. This will cause the audio to go out through the speaker port, then back in through the line in where it will be recorded. I am on a laptop (Win 10, realtek high def) and there is only one male port (line out, I'm guessing). How can I make this work so I can record audio at the same time as video? I might add that I tried using a bluetooth speaker (Jawbone speaker, not earbuds), connecting the male port from that to my line out, but I don't think that was at all what I need. Help!

Hello to everybody, I have a problem with "Record over video"command. I import a video clip, unlink audio from video and delete the audio track. Then I select the video clip and click on "Record Over Video". In the new windows I see only a black screen instead of the video clip preview. My video card is an ATI Radeon HD 4800 running on Windows 7 x64 Is there a solution of this problem? Thank you very much Francesco

I've been wanting to start a Let's Play for Pikmin for a long time now. It was only recently I finally got the equipment needed to start recording off my Wii to do this. When googling what software would be good to use for recording from a video adapater, I found the NCH Debut Video Capture. I downloaded it, and immediately started recording a few sessions. But the problem I'm facing now, is that my recordings are coming back out of sync. Sure, they start out fine, but by the end of a 45-50 minute recording, my sound is several seconds ahead of my video. I need help! I've googled, I've downloaded numerous softwares, I've tried every tweaking everything and I can't fix my recorded files! (Seriously I've done everything. I've tried slowing my audio, speeding up my video, adjusting the FPS...once I think I find a solution it ends up being all wrong. One attempt at adjusting the fps rate I managed to sync up the end bit of the video, but the beginning was then out of sync. How the heck does that happen??). I don't know what can be done, if anything at this point, to fix the sync issue I've currently got. It seems like it shoudl have a simple fix, and there are plenty of people who have had this same issue, but I can't seem to find any fix! Then there is the issue of how to prevent this from happening with future recordings. Just what is causing it to start with, and how can I correct it?? I thought I fixed it by changing the Video Options and checking the "Change Frame Rate" box with a frame rate at 30, but it didn't do diddly difference with the next video I recorded. Please someone who is more knowledgeable with this stuff, I need help!!

After every recording RecordPad automatically trims silence. This takes time and by the time it's done, the next song is streaming and recording does not start right away causing the front of the song to be clipped. How can I turn off this auto silence trim? It was not on the old version and since I upgraded it's driving me nuts!

I know this question was asked a long time ago, but I didn't see any responses. Hoping for one now - does anyone know if you can simultaneously stream a live video on BroadCam Pro and capture it as a recording for viewing later? Thanks for any help, JM

Hi, I have downloaded the evaluation version for recording video from my desktop. However when I go to record the position being recorded and the size of the area are not what was specified. I am running multi-monitor on Windows 10 Pro. One important aspect I think is affecting it is that my primary window is 200% text size due to the high resolution, the other two screens are running at 100% text size. I believe this is the issue causing the problem, I am able to artificially get recordings by artificially creating an area twice the size, then moving the window into this area. However this is not ideal. I have attached a rough drawing, as stated above I believe this is to do with the text size options in the desktop display not identifying the correct monitor. Everything else seems great. Best Regards Glyn Addendum I dropped the scaling to 100% on the primary monitor, this fixed the problem after re-running Debut, however I can't actually read anything on the primary! So I can get by however this is a definitely an undocumented feature.

Hi all, I select a region of the screen to record - not a window. In the docs it says "When the selected window is closed Debut will automatically stop the recording" However, I'm not recording a window. I'm doing a video on Game Maker so the GameMaker editor is running, then I run the game it's making which opens a new application 'the game' and when I've finished demonstrating the game I hit close, Debut stops that recording, starts another and then I'm back the Game Maker editor. It's only recently started happening, and doesn't happen at home. How can I stop it from doing that please? I can't find any options to change that. Andy H.

I'm having this issue with Debut When trying to record sound from my Speakers. For some reason when I hoover my mouse pointer over the sound level that was working fine Yesterday saying I was good on dB, all of a sudden decides to say my current sound level is at -127 dB, I've already tried the Sound mix but it won't show anything was disabled. Here is a screenshot of what I mean. I would like to know what to do for help with this problem:

Hi Folks, Sorry if this is a FAQ... The scenario is this - I'm taking an online vocal training class and I need to record a video of myself singing against a backing track (the instructor needs to see my breathing, posture, etc.). Consequently, the backing track needs to be playing while I record myself singing, but I don't want the backing track to be heard in the video audio. I can import the backing track into VP just fine, but I can't get it to play while I record the video.

Hi, I use express account for a few days on Windows and on Mac for try. It's great. I can not find a VAT field in the customer record. I live in belgium and vat number or company number is important. For testing I add the VAT number in the address ... it's not terrible. Is there a solution ? Thanks,

I have a problem with Debut and Windows 8. When I record a video, all the window borders and colors continue to flicker and change from a lighter to a darker tone. Is there a setting I need to change? Thank you
