I have over-ear headphones that plug into the microphone jack on the laptop and I have a USB microphone. I installed the ASIO driver and selected it in General Options. I'm playing a music track and want to record vocals on a second track as I listen to the music track and monitor the vocal. I select the ASIO for all setting for the music track and I can hear the music through the headphones. However, if I select the ASIO for generic USB device for the microphone, then I get a recording devices are missing error. I can select ASIO for all and the integrated laptop microphone is engaged as the recording device. If I select the default devices or realtech drive settings, then I can both listen with the headphones and record with the USB microphone, but I can't monitor on the vocal/microphone channel.

Alright, so for a bit of context, I decided to download Voxal as a voice changer for Discord just to mess around with my friends. When I downloaded it, it needed me to restart my laptop in order to update the system. When I was done updating it, I decided to try it out on a Discord call with my friends. When I spoke, no green right appeared around my profile picture (this indicates that my voice is being heard). I thought that maybe I just needed to reset my voice settings on Discord, since it's a common thing to do. I returned and still, nobody could hear me. I looked up several videos on how to re-enable your microphone settings and tried every single one of them. Nothing worked. I don't know if there is something else I need to do or not, but if anyone knows how to fix this, please do help. I haven't been able to stream or talk to friends for a couple days now. EDIT: I didn't say this in the original post, but the wired connection doesn't work for my mic, but bluetooth works. I can still hear through my headphones, it's just any wired connection doesn't allow me to use my microphone but bluetooth does.

I decided to download the Voxal Voice Changer which is all good and fun until you listen to your voice and it sounds like there is this horrendous screeching in the background. My Blue Yeti worked fine and had crystal clear audio until after i downloaded this. I even tried deleting it and there is still a problem. This is incredibly frustrating as i try to make youtube videos and now I cant. Also i cant play with my friends it's that bad. Please help me! Edit: If anyone knows where to download Drivers for the Blue Yeti i could delete and reinstall them

After installing Voxal Voice, the microphone stops working in any other program (Discord, Skype, etc.). The microphone also does not work in Voxal Voice. I am having errors like: "voxal is unable to detect an audio stream" and "voxal is waiting for an application to use the microphone". The microphone problem goes away after uninstalling Voxal Voice and reinstalling the microphone drivers from the manufacturer. I tried to reinstall Voxal Voice, restarted the computer several times, but nothing helped. How can I fix this problem?

Hello, I have just installed debut but I can't activate the microphone because the option is disabled (greyed). Of course, I have a microphone (it is integrated in my laptop) and it is working properly with other applications. The microphone wasn't used by other app when I was trying to use it with Debut. Hi, I have a problem with audio clipping when capturing video from a VHS player. connected by a USB video capture dongle. I tried adjusting the Audio Options/ System mixer/ line input/ level control - but even when set to 0, the audio still clips on recording. Using a HP V104 i5 notebook, Win 10 Home, all latest updates and HW drivers. Any ideas please? Thanks

I have a Scarlett 6i6 mixer for my DAW. Is there a way to use that for Video Pad, instead of the microphone on my camera: that sucks? Or is there a suggested interface for better sound. I want to record music and sometimes I would rather not have to use my DAW and then match it up.

Hello there, I am recording my work on Ableton Live and the sound in the recording comes out fine on both ends (left and right) but my voice output (recorded from a microphone) only comes out from the left monitor/headphone side. How can I fix this?

As I tried the software itself, it's really fun and all. However, I noticed that my microphone doesn't work when Voxal is not running. It's hard for me to run software due to low specs. Thus, I decided to uninstall it. Unfortunately, my microphone can't be picked up any more. Even if it does for some programs, it is VERY soft. I changed the microphone volume and the boost but it didn't change the volume. I restarted and updated all my audio drivers (Realtek & Dell Audio) and nothing changed. I am currently using Logitech G231 Headset with its built-in microphone.

I downloaded and install voxel voice changer some weeks ago. I viewed every video tutorial that I could find on youtube in hopes of finding a GOOD product to do voice annotations for video and my 3D animation work as well as use with skype and other voice enabled products. The headphone/mic headset that I have works with Audacity,Microsoft Voice recorder and every other application that I have on my computer that can access the microphone but not with voxel voicechanger. What do? Has anyone had similar problems? I have already contacted support in case anyone wanted to suggest that and yes I did do everything in troubleshooting.

Hi, I'm trying to record audio video from my built in webcam and built in microphone in the laptop. Both normally works perfectly (e.g. in Skype), but the Microphone in Debut doesn't record anything. Can you suggest something to check? Thanks Giovanni

Hello everyone. I a not sure if this forum is still being monitored but I could really use some assistance. I purchased a brand new Olympus DirectRec DR-1200 microphone that was recommended by NCH to use with my Express Dictate Medical Legal software. However, I cannot get Express Dictate to recognize the new mike. It is installed properly and when I open Express Dictate, I go under Audio Device Setup and the microphone passes all of the tests and I can hear it saying Express Dictate Volume Check through the microphone speaker. However, when I go under Controller Setup Wizard, it does not show/recognize the microphone under plug and play devices even though it is connected and seems to be working fine otherwise. So, I cannot dictate anything. I tried it on two different systems and the same result. The system is running Windows XP SP3 along with a registered version 5.72 of Express Dictate. When I connected the mike, it installed the necessary drivers so I don't think that is an issue either. Can you please help me to figure out why this microphone is not being recognized as I must get this resolved before Monday morning? Is there something else I need to do as this is one the microphones recommended by NCH and it is actually sold as a bundle with Express Dictate? Thank you so very much.

I am learning the VideoPad Narration feature now, am still struggling but can make the voice feature post where it is supposed to be, but wonder where the Microphone is located. I get no sound at all from the "recording narration" dialogue. Please help. I use v. 2.41 and Windows XP. When I go through the process of posting (nonworking) narrations on VideoPad, I then have to remove them. When I remove them I get a message that says, "If you remove [this narration], any video sequence, sound, or overlay clips associated with this file will be removed as well." Then, when I click on OK, it does NOT remove the video sequence. So what am I doing wrong? ___________ I finally found an audio wizard which can be accessed by: File>Audio Wizard. Through some experimentation I was able to find the combination that allowed me to begin narration. SUGGESTION: It would be helpful to have a tutorial to assist with this; what is now available is not really useful.
