subtitles Subtitles: Default format to "selected subtitles"??
Max DeGroot posted a topic in VideoPad
While adding in subtitles, I have again and again realized that I had the format tab set to "All Subtitles" usually after adding in and formatting quite a few. This means I have to abandon the edit and start over. Is there any way to get the format tab to default to "Selected Subtitles" automatically? -

I had always used mp4 because I thought it was the best and it is it's been known for it's quality thing is, for videopad preset "Youtube 480p" they put you on flv, why is that? is there a reasoning into why flv goes better with videos of this quality or something? I tried to do research but most people just tell you which one is the best and they didn't give enough specifications, so well, can someone explain it to me? I'll still be using mp4 until I get an answer

Hi, Can someone please help me with this: I am thinking of buying a new tablet but I need it to be able to play files that are similar to those used in museums. It is a file that will be activated in the touchscreen tablet, with icons to be selected and the respective audio/sound recording will play. Please tell me what kind of file name/format this is?? Need to be able to communicate with the sellers online before I make the purchase of 8 tablets!! Many thanks!!

I seriously thank you for providing the good help that enabled me to finish my project. (I'm so excited!) I'm now at the point of uploading it to YouTube, for one, and for another saving it on a DVD disk so that I can share it with friends and family. Let me say, paranthetically, that I intend to purchase the software from VideoPad. I would have purchased it tonight, but I didn't get paid yet, and I don't have enough money in my budget to purchase until I do get paid, but I am very near. I am so indebted to the technicians who created VideoPad. It didn't get good reviews at download.com but I can only believe that it was because the Novices didn't know how to use the software. I'm very grateful to the technicians and wish to support them in providing this excellent software to the public. That said, I'm having trouble: 1) saving it in .avi format, 2) uploading to YT, and 3) downloading on a disk. I thought I had saved it in .avi (it says .avi), but YT didn't recognize it. Downloading to a dvd disk, my system says something like "put a disk into the tray" when I have one there all along. So I took everything out and went through the instructions again. When it said, "put a disk into the tray" I did, but it didn't recognize it. YouTube said they didn't recognize the format but would try to upload it anyway. They tried, but in the end they still didn't recognize the format. Could you tell me: 1. How to save the movie to .avi. 2. How to upload to YT. 3. How to save on disk. It may be that if I could do #1, that may take care of the problem. I am using VP version 2.41.

Dear Sirs I was generally happy with my Debut software purchased 2 years back. However I recorded recently my son's school recital ( actual take in school ) on my laptop-harddisc setup. Output was set to my hard disc, for my laptop/phone memory was low. However during recording my hard disc cable got disconnected and Debut gave an error of recording... The AVI file was generated, But it is not a valid format and cannot be played by any media player ( Windows, VLC, etc ) Please help sir !!

Hi, I'm trying to make a 720x480 video using what should be 720x480 clips. However, when I imported the clips into VideoPad, the program changed the image and made it skinnier (I think to a 4:3 format) and also added black bars on the sides. I've tried seeing if the crop option would work to get rid of these bars, but the bars don't even show up under the crop effect. The zoom effect doesn't help either as using it would lose more of the video than I wish to. Adjusting the aspect ratio of the output file seems to have no effect on removing the bars either. Originally I was making a video with the same source on Windows Movie Maker (which did not have this issue) and I downloaded VideoPad after it kept freezing on me. I just want to be able to make my video in the format intended.
