Hi all, I cropped (or maybe zoomed in on) a video clip. I didn't want to fill up the whole screen to preserve the clarity of the image. How do I change the color of the black bars that show up on either side of the video clip?

Hi, I have an image with my dog (Gemma) in a pose I want to cut her out and put on a different background or layer. I managed to cut around Gemma and could move the section but when I reduced the size the rest of the original image I had taken her from reappeared under her. How can I select and cut out a section and manipulate it in size and position please? Thankyou Ian

Hello, Can anyone tell me how to crop a video and then stretch it to the 16:9 aspect ratio? As you can see from the picture I've already attempted to crop it with the crop tool, but it leaves black bars at the side and top, I then took a look with the motion tool but it's to complex for me and I can't find a guide on how to use it, so can anyone tell me how to cut away what I've already cropped and then change the picture aspect ratio to what it was ie stretching the video?? https://ibb.co/TLn53Tg Thank you in advance!! 😊

some clips on the sequence I have added the zoom or pan and zoom effect. Now I would like to adjust the color of some clips. when added to the effects on a clip that has already been zoomed it crops the clip to the upper right corner. if I color correct a clip I haven’t already zoomed, everything stays normal. but when added to the clips that I’ve already zoomed, it like crops them again, and leaves a bunch of black space around it. ive tried moving the zoom effect up and down the effects list, it doesn’t help. I’ve tried adding color to the whole sequence instead of individually. It doesn’t help. im fairly new to this, so I’m hoping I’m just missing something simple. PLEASE HELP! I’ve worked hard on this . 😓

For my project I have cropped my videos (1:1) and zoomed to a 16:9 aspect ratio. This leaves a black border on the left and right sides of my videos, which is not a problem, but I am wondering if there is a way to center my videos so that the black bars on the left and right sides are identical widths. I am currently dragging the videos to center them by eye which is not accurate enough, as one side is always slightly wider than the other side. Is it possible to center videos so the black bars are exactly the same on either side? I am very new at using this program and any help would be appreciated!

I am trying to publish a movie that;s a combination of videos where some were filmed horizontally and some vertically. When I'm editing the footage it all looks perfect in the preview but after I publish it the Horizontal video shrinks so that the width matches the width of the vertical video. I tried playing with some setting but the most i can do is have the Horizontal video full size but then the vertical video gets zoomed in really close so that the width matches the width of the horizontal video. I would like the Horizontal videos to be full size and the Vertical videos to be "full size" so that the height matches the height of the horizontal videos. I understand that there will be black bars on the sides of the vertical videos, and thats fine, thats how it shows up in the preview, it just dosnt publish that way. Can I get some help?

Hello. I recorded footage that was supposed to be 4:3 but accidentally became a 16:9 video. Now I want to fix this by using VideoPad to export the video to 4:3. The problem is, that VideoPad adds black bars to the top and bottom of the video. I assume that VideoPad does this so I maintain the aspect ratio. But I do not want to maintain the aspect ratio, I want to change it. (to 4:3) Cropping the image is no option, as important parts would be lost. To make it more clear with an example: 1. This would be the the original video file. It should be 4:3 (perfect squares) but is 16:9 (stretched squares) instead: 2. This is the video that I want VideoPad to export. The aspect ratio changed to 4:3 to remove the stretching and to get the perfect squares: 3. But this is the video that I actually get from video pad. Same unwanted aspect ratio, but with black bars added: What I do: I click on export, I manually insert the exact 4:3 resolution that I want. Then I get to choose: "Crop Edges" "Resize to Fit" "Cancel" I chose "Resize to Fit". Crop is no valid option. I get the same stretched visuals from the picture at 1., but with parts of the image missing on the left and the right: So please tell me that there is a way to actually change the aspect ratio of videos with your software. (And not just the resolution of the file, while the video stays the same, with black bars top+bottom or information missing left+right.) Re-recording the footage is not possible, and I don't think that I'm asking for sorcery.

Hello, for last few hours I've been unsuccessfully trying to specifically crop one of my videos. I want to crop out the corner of the video like for example here at around 20th sec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuhvMqgB7J0. Is there a option to do this at all? Thanks for your answers
