I have a problem with exporting whenever i want to export a video it crashes my pc or occasionally the software. I don't know why. It's not from low memory and I doubt it can be a hardware problem. If there is something that can stop my pc from crashing while exporting it'll be really helpful cuz I really do like the software. My PC: 12gb ram ddr4 CPU: Ryzen 5 3500u GPU: radeon vega 8 graphics Not some high end pc but I think it's enough

Help!!!!!!!!!!! I was using video pad editor for about two weeks it was fine. I use it to edit videos for my youtube channel. Well for whatever reason after some windows updates installed it crashed few times. I added the update. By the way I have the paid version. Anyway I cannot use it right now. It keeps failing to export even to a file! It says it encountered an abnormal exception. It happens around the 28% mark that it fails. I don't know what to do! I ran a boot time check and apparently everything is ok. I doubt it's a malware issue. Could it be from the updates? And how would I know which one to uninstall? If this software keeps crashing I'm asking for my money back. Why pay for stuff I cannot use?

Hi! I am working on a short film/series and adding the title sequence. Every time I click on an established title text image or try to open a new one,videopad crashes. I have looked up the idea that I need a new graphics driver but cannot seem to find the right one and think that this may not be the correct way to resolve this issue. What should I do?

Hi, I have been trying to export a 7 minute video with 2 songs via every file type there is and it keeps crashing or giving me the failed message halfway through. Files seem fine and cache was cleared. I've read all the threads and so far no luck. Would it be possible to upload my back up onto one drive and someone take a look? Running on Windows 7 32bit. Sorry but it's taken me quite some time to do this video and I like the software otherwise, it's currently the free version and I cannot try mpg format as that's only available in the purchased item.

Hi, I recently downloaded the 6.23 Beta version of VideoPad. The only reason for this was that the previous version, 6.22, kept crashing when I was editing my film. I thought that updating to a higher version - even if the Beta one - would get rid of the problem. Unfortunately, not only didn't it help, but it got worse. Right now, I cannot even convert whatever editions I have managed to make to a movie format (I select .mp4 1080 Full HD) because somewhere in the middle of converting the project, it crashes, and it crashes without any warning! Simply, VideoPad suddenly closes down and that's it. I have used older versions of VideoPad before (which I no longer have on my computer) and while not free of all sort of bugs, they certainly didn't constantly crash1 I also used the exact same computer, with the exact same video card (Nvidia Geforce), using the same type of files (.m2ts video files, .wav or .mp3 audio files, .jpeg or .png image files) and the same type of transitions and effects. I used the same computer with the same processor and the same operating system. Could someone advise me on how to get rid of this problem or how I can get immediate technical asistance? I have reported the bug numerous times now through a website form but so far I have received no reply from anyone. I am just about to finish a video project which I would like to lauch on YouTube and facebook quite soon, but due to the crashing of VideoPad, I can neither finish the editing process (or at least it is much slower as I have to launch VideoPad and my prject again after each crash to be able to do anything) nor convert it to a video file and publish on YouTube. So I just spent the better part of my morning working on a small project, and out of nowhere video pad stops working and crashes. This has never happened before so I found it odd, simply restarted the program. Videopad has an update. Great! lets do that. update completes, says i'm using a demo. no worries I'll just put in my purchase code and be back on my way. BIG NOPE. NCH wants me to pay at least $27 for this update otherwise I won't be able to finish my project. Fuck that, I'll go back to the old version. I roll it back, and it only rolls back to the current update! so now I can't finish my project, I REFUSE to pay for an update (which, btw, crashes every time I make an edit) when I already purchased videopad less than 1 year ago. So what I would like to know is if anybody has the old version saved somewhere I can download so I can get back to making videos.

Hello everybody. I am new to VideoPad and this forum. After some playing around with the free edition I was so happy I decided to buy the professional edition (without premium support though). However, after making my first video project I found the program is unable to export the video at a higher setting than 720p/30fps. When I try 1080p/1440p one of three things happens: After about 1% processing it jumps to 100% and the export queue shows a green 'complete' message. The exported video is about 1 second long. Obviously it's not complete. After about 1% processing the export queue shows a red 'failed' message. The export video is broken (cannot render) and very small in file-size. The same thing happens as mentioned in 1 except that I get a messagebox saying VideoPad has crashed. I get the option to report a bug (which I did) or click no. In either case the application abruptly exists after. I have imported 6 source files (mp4) which are 1.2GB in size altogether. These are CS:GO recordings made with NVIDIA ShadowPlay with the following settings: Recording in-game resolution (1440p) / 60fps / 60mbps / H.264. One of the files is the main video file from which I use 45 seconds and the audio. It is cut up in several scenes. Some scenes are running at 400/800% speed. The other 5 video files I use as overlay tracks (scale + position effects to put them in the bottom left/right corner) with simple fadein/fadeout. I have removed the audio tracks for these clips in the timeline. Event Viewer shows this Warning several times: The NVIDIA OpenGL driver has encountered an out of memory error. This application might behave inconsistently and fail. However, it does not always occur exactly around the time the export fails. I have used TechPowerUp GPU-Z to monitor the GPU's memory usage which goes up to about 1GB (out of 4GB) right before VideoPad stops/crashes. So I doubt it has to do with the out of memory error from NVIDIA. Furthermore I have tried: closing applications to preserve system memory. During the export video process about 8.2GB out of 16GB system memory is used (and then the process stops/crashes). VideoPad's memory usage goes from 280MB to 3.2GB and back to 280mb when processing stops. So, memory availability doesn't seem to be the problem. different file formats (avi, mkv, mp4) and different resolution/fps settings (combinations of 1080p/1440p and 30/60fps) disabled ShadowPlay before even starting up VideoPad. Also didn't make a difference. using different disks for input, output and the Temp directory. I think my system is well up to the task: The samsung ssd 830 has the fixed firmware and this is my C drive The 4 hitachi drives are in raid 10 setup and this is my D drive The revodrive is actually 120GB (it is raid 0 internally) and this is my E drive My Windows installation is about 2 years old (don't remember exactly) but I think I upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 and then to 10. I would like to do a clean install some time but I also use this system for work and I have not yet found a good moment to do this. I am using the latest NVIDIA drivers/software. Specs: Dell XPS desktop, 1 year old, i7 4 core with 8 logical cores, 8G RAM, 2G NVIDIA GPU GT-730. We have the website accessing (3) network cameras via the html code provided by Broadcam for the cameras. We recently changed from having (2) low-end USB webcams (LinkSys) and one ACTi network camera to (3) ACTi cameras. With the USB cameras we never crashed. Now, with (3) network cameras the system is overdriven.Out of spending hours and frustration to understand this - I recently reinstalled Windows 7 Pro SP1 and limited additional software, only Adobe Reader. Turned off all other startups and services not needed. No antivirus... Set power at 'High Performance'... no sleep, no hibernate... What is true whether the computer and three cameras can be access from port 86 and 1935 or not - meaning I can close outside access on the router, is with one camera configured - all 8 CPU threads evenly jump to about 50% utilized. Add a 2nd network camera and that goes to about 70% maybe more. Add the 3rd and we are bouncing off the top at 95% - 100%... RAM? - maybe 3G of 8G is used. Broadcam may run for a little while in this state but when it starts crashing - its often - a minute give or take - showing 'ACCESS VIOLATION UNKNOWN' (in version 2.35, and some other message in 2.33) and the camera video in Broadcam disappears.. then returns - flashing off then on, as the status in the lower window in Broadcam reports the access issue and then reports web server starting again... It appears to be a problem with the use of network cameras. I have pictures of cores and specs on the system etc... we are pulling the MJPEG streams off the cameras and people visiting the website will see Flash video. Would greatly appreciate any input from others having dealt with this issue.

I've already recorded a few videos with the camera overlay but it recently started crashing when I tried to move it into a different corner. I unplugged it and Debut ran just fine, but the second I plug in the webcam, the whole thing crashes.

Trying to open a VP project I've been editing: a box came up saying "stopping queue process threads" / "restarting background threads (not responding)" - then it crashed. Tried again later & got the project up. Tried to export it as a WMV & got "Stopping queue process threads" / "stopping background threads (not responding)". Left it to run overnight to see if it might sort itself out. This morning it says export is 1.1% completed. Anyone know what's happening & what I could do about it?

Whenever I tried to launch Videopad, It would appear in the task manager but never actually come up so I can use it. And the times that it has worked, It would crash before anything even happens. My drivers are all up to date and I have the latest DirectX. Please help as I have a few videos I want to get to editing soon!

So, the Program crashes whenever I try to adjust any of the effects' parameters (and I'm talking about the default, built-in, effects, not some third party plugins). Even reinstalling did not help. What is wrong? Videopad version 4.45 Windows 7 x64 I'm updating my videodriver now, but I can' imagine it'll help EDIT updating my videodriver *DID* help!!! EDIT #2 Only regarding some filters. I just foudn out that some simple filters (like 'Exposure' and 'Shake') still cannot be touched without a crash... Now I'm wondering what the bigger mystery here is: the program being released with all those crappy bugs in its basic options or the fact that the developers expect you to pay for it

Hi, since I updated my Mac OS to El Capitan, Wavepad ALWAYS crashes after doing only a few edits. Does anyone else experience this problem? Regards, Rob

Hi friends, every time I try to add the distortion effect, the app freezes for about 10 seconds, then closes. The only message I've seen is when I reopen it and it asks if I'd like to restore the last session. Others mention this same issue in recent Play store feedback, but I can't find it mentioned here. The other effects all work properly. I love the app, but this bug kinda spoils the experience. I sent a bug report a few days ago. Regards Lexx

I 've been using trail versions for a while and decided to purchase the licensed copy, so I did and registered it. After that I am facing each time unexpected crash during video edition. The picture freeze , no main options and buttons working. But the sound going on continuously on the background, even if I exit Videopad. I need to go in Task manager to terminate the process there. otherwise the program is running. I use Windows 7 with all necessary drivers ( OpenGL and Direct X) installed.

A recent Windows security update (3045171) has introduced a bug and cause VideoPad crash randomly. The bug is triggered by using text clips and subtitles. It effects Window 7 Service Pack 1 and earlier version of Windows. Microsoft has issued a fix for the problem. If you have turned on Windows Automatic Update, you can find the patch in: Control Panel->System and Security->Windows Update->Show all available updates->Optional->KB3065979. Hello, I purchased this software a couple of years ago and it has been my absolute favorite program for recording and screen captures for a good, solid two years. During that time, I experienced no issues whatsoever with this software. It just worked and it worked beautifully. Then about a month and a half ago, I launched the application only to be unable to use it due to it crashing on start-up. You know that rectangular window with the product info that appears and remains onscreen for a few seconds, well, now it just remains there and won`t fully load the program. The only way to close it is by clicking repeatedly and invoking the "Unresponsive program" dialogue from Windows and force quitting it or ending the process via Task Manager. I am running Windows 8.1 with all the latest updates installed. I have McAffee Total Protection and Malwarebytes premium as my antivirus and malware solutions. I`ve tried doing a repair install and even uninstalled my licensed version and reinstalled using the current, free download version hoping my version was just out of date, but no luck. I really, really like this software and would like to continue using it. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everybody, I bought VideoPad some day ago and I started using it with a sufficient success... ...there are some strange things that happens and I don't know why. I have a big problem with the brand new version 3.47: it crash everytime and most of preview are missing or "waiting to be loaded"...and it never happens before, with the 3.36 version. Please fix it, is not acceptable.

Hi everyone! I was a Windows Movie Maker user until get know about VideoPad. I think Videpad is quite good for my needs, then I trying it on my new home video projects. I already did two videos without problems. I was considering buy for the full version but in my last home video, I'm facing a problem. VideoPad crash every 30 minutes... On the error description, says about OPENGL32.DLL error... I tried update my video driver, but its already updateded. It was hard, but I finish the editing work. But now, I'm facing a problem while exporting. It stucks on 99% and then VideoPad frezzes(program "non response"). I'm, exporting a 720p MP4 movie. I already tried other resolutions, but all of them got stucked on 99%. Can I get some help? Thanks. Bye.

Can also access and use each program from web. express invoice crashed every time I tried to add item on invoice PROBLEM: Express inventory shows zero for QTY in everything, I tried migrate function and does not import the QTY! all part numbers and details are there but when I go to add items on invoice it immediately crash's due to zero stock. ODDLY: if I add inventory directly using Express invoice(add new item) its shows correctly and adds to invoice properly. - if I add item in express invoice it works correctly but does not show in item/description,qty in inventoria it randomly says in txt box right upper corner screen "Synchronization error - QUAN" LOL yes but how do we fix it!

I grabbed this program the other day to try it out and, although I like the interface and the fact that it lets me directly edit my camera's .mov files, it's at present ultimately worthless for me because of the random crashes that trash my project files. I worked for hours recently on a sequence of videos and VP worked well until suddenly and for no apparent reason, it crashed to desktop. When I reopened VP and loaded in the auto-saved project, it was toast and VP proceeded to import all the clips again (s-l-o-w) and I lost my previously saved edits; it was as if I had begun an entirely new project. It did this several times, crashing randomly. A few times, it reloaded the auto-saved project file, the clips loaded up jiffy quick and the sequence/timeline was quickly filled with processed clips (all green progress bars full) and my edits right where they should be. However, several times I had to start over from scratch because the project file was apparently corrupted during the crash. This suggests the crashes are occurring during auto-save. My drivers and W8.1 are up to date. I have no other relevant/graphic resources running, only VP when this occurs. Sometimes it only crashes to desktop. Other times, I get a BSOD (reason given varies) and a reboot. I don't get crashes with other editors I've tried -- problem is that they either don't allow me to edit .mov's properly or I don't care for the interface (e.g., Movie Maker). I did a forum search and didn't see where this is a commonly-reported bug. Does VP just not like my particular machine? Hi, starting yesterday when I upgraded from V 3.10, I started using Video Pad 3.12 (licenced user) on a Win7 (64bit) comp, intel i7 quad core, 8GB RAM, great graphics, really strong computer, but the software keeps crashing. I was using 3.10 and all was ok, arranging HD video clips, text, efects, images, overlaying, audio, everything, but then i upgraded, and added new files in my project (arround 50 photos) and dragged them onto the video line to position them, and then I started to expirience severe crashing problems on almost every action I do. It is apsolutely frustrating to work with a software that crashes every 20 seconds. It even crashes sometimes when I just open the project and do nothing, just wait. I downgraded to 3.10 and then the chrashes were there also. The only thing that changed from before i started to expirience crashes was the photo import. I had photos before also (10 or so high quality photos) in my mostly video-clip project, but the new photos imported (here is the difference) are not all of the same quality - some of them are old, taken with bad camera or with a mobile phone. Could that be the reason of the crashes? I'm trying to "play" the 50 new photos in 25 seconds (nothing special or hard for software to handle) but it is hard for the software because it deals with changing quality in short time? Any ideas? What can I try? I'm relativly fresh user so any advice is good. My video clips are HD, maybe the Video Pad software is crashing because of the project size? Should I make the film I'm working on in smaller sequences? How long should they be? Thanks for any help people! Best regards Marijo

Hello, since I purchased my first version of Debut, its stdriver64.sys has always caused me all sorts of issues. Not just to me, google for this name and you'll find dozens of people who has my same troubles, both with Debut and SoundTap. Till the last week the driver would cause my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to Blue Screen of Death when resuming from hybernation. That was unpleasant but still bearable. Now I purchased the latest version of Debut and the same BSODs now happen also while I am using the computer, 2-3 times a day. Since I don't believe NCH will try fix it (so many years, so many complaints over the internet), is there at least a way to remove this driver without losing Debut? I really like and need the software, I will try find a workaround to the functionalities the driver provides. I just can't justify the continuous harassment I get from this driver any more. P.S. Yes I have checked my PC with Malwarebytes, Avast, Avira and yes all the drivers and operating system is updated.

I have used the non-commercial version of Videopad for ages and never had any problems with the software. But upon updating to version 3.04, one major problem has had me avoiding the program. When adding any video or image files to my project nothing is wrong, but the instant the clip preview loads the file and begins to show it; it crashes. Audio files do not cause this issue. Any fixes? I have restarted my PC and uninstalled/re-installed the program several times...
