Hello, I am trying to convert a video using Prism Video Converter (Free version), but the process stops at 50%. No progress after that ... - Type of the original file format: VOB File (.VOB) - Size: 415 MB - PC / Windows 10 - Converting to AVI (default) I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this problem. Thanks!

I'm new to this VideoPad, have uploaded some old video clips from a 'family DVD' and trying to cut down what we have previously recorded. I can't get started on editing because the red cursor zooms across the clip. Also on another clip the picture freezes and the sound continues in the background. I'm sure it's beginners error but I can't work out how to get stared, have watched the video tutorials.

We just purchased the most recent version of VideoPad (ver. 4.56 for Os X El Capitan) in an effort to edit down a couple of decades worth of family videos. The videos of various lengths are all .vob format. We have spent the last two hours trying to open the videos in VideoPad but they are only loading a short snippet of each video no matter what we try to do. We have verified the video length in the original folders and are able to open the entire video in other viewing programs but in VideoPad it just uploads as a short clip. What are we missing?

Although the official list [http://www.nch.com.a...ch/kb/1405.html] does not mention the support for neither M2TS & VOB file formats, somehow they are supported, because you can convert audio from them when you load such files to Switch window Unfortunately when the Options > Right Click "shortcuts" are enabled and do work for various audio formats and some video one too [like MKV], those shortcuts do not appear in shell menu when right clicking an M2TS or VOB file The user have to manually add to the registry entries like [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SystemFileAssociations\.m2ts\Shell\Convert to .flac using Switch\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\NCH Software\\Switch\\switch.exe\" -convert -format .flac \"%L\"" or [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SystemFileAssociations\.vob\Shell\Convert to .wav using Switch\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\NCH Software\\Switch\\switch.exe\" -convert -format .wav \"%L\"" in order for those shortcuts to appear for M2TS and VOB

Perhaps someone can help me. The missus and I received our wedding video back from the videographer recently and I wanted to make some changes myself. I've had VideoPad editor for a while now so am quite good at the old cutting and splicing. The video has been sent through on 2 DVDs and these contain 4 large VOB files each. I have loaded the offending single VOB file into VideoPad and made some edits. I cannot appear to re-save this as a VOB file however... the closest appears to be an AVI file. My question is this: can I somehow convert the AVI to a VOB file, replace the original VOB with this new one and write this new VOB and the original VOBs to a DVD? This would be the much prefered option. Or do I need to remaster the whole DVD from scratch by loading all the VOBs into VideoPad? Or something else..? Any tips appreciated Many thanks indeed!
