Hello, New user to VideoPad and liking it very much, thank you. Is there a setting somewhere to make the timeline cursor remain in the middle of the timeline, rather than scrolling to the Right? I find when editing long sequences, I'm continually having to either drag the scroll bar to the right to bring the cursor back to the middle or change the zoom in, scroll and zoom out. I use Audacity for audio editing and that has this facility. If not then could I make it a request for a future update? Many thanks Chas.

Can i bring back the cursor in already recorded video without cursor
-
Hi...I used to know a key you can hit to move the cursor right to the very start of a clip on the timeline. I forgot it! :( Now I have to zooom way in, manually click on the beginning of the clip, and then zoom back out to continue working. Very time consuming! I am using the newest version of Professional.

I have a problem with audio. I want make fade out of an audio, so i select the audio, and i put a cursor on time I want to fade out from (the cursor is still inside of the audio) Then I rightclick and select fade out, I select 'between the current position and the end', and BOOM it shows error window that the cursor is outside of selected clip! Hey, how can I change where the cursor line will stop when I hit Stop button (or space key)? It tends to go back to where the playback started, but I want it to stay at where the playback stopped. Thanks!

I think I messed something up. I have a "sequence preview" which shows in the inset window up top. I can proof the drop-ins where I place my text. I *used* to be able to see the preview in the LOWER window which was WAY easier. The cursor would move along in the lower window and I'd just pause it, drop in a block of text and resume. Now, I pause it in the upper window, find the cursor in the upper window and then find it in the lower window. Drop the text in the lower window and then go back up to the upper window to make sure I did it right. How do I get the LOWER window to be the Sequence Preview with a moving cursor? With love Erik

Hey everyone, VideoPad newbie here. I have the basics figured out and like the program so far. I have been needing to learn video editing for posting performance videos. Question: Relating to playback, I am accustomed to the functionality of my audio editor workspace (not NCH software), which allows for the cursor to automatically return to the previous start position when stopping playback. This is very useful for hearing short audio sections repeatedly, without having to manually relocate the cursor each time. Is there a similar setting in VideoPad, such that when I stop playback, the cursor will return to the previous start position? In other words, so Stop doesn't function like a Pause button? Yes, I can click the timeline to pop the cursor back, but finding the *exact* start point of the previous playback start point is time consuming. This is critical to carefully examine video-audio sync. Barring that possibility, is there a way to choose a clip range to loop for playback? Thanks in advance.

I just purchased Debut with the intention of recording Adobe application tutorials for my University class. When recording applications including InDesign (CC 2015.4) and Illustrator (CC 2015.3 ), Debut fails to record the application tool icons, even though I have the Show Cursor While Recording option on. Since these change for every tool and are used to highlight key actions it's quite important to record them. I've tested Photoshop and it's cursors are recorded. The Mac version of Debut records all the cursors without issue. Is anyone aware of this issue and a possible fix? I'm running Windows 10 and Debut v3.01

Hey there Debut team. This seems to be a large issue that has been unresolved in your later versions of Debut. I'm currently using the full v1.83, and I do not see the option that is eluded to in almost every post/FAQ I've found: As you can see, there is no "hide cursor" option. Also, when I record an in-game experience, it shows both the OS X mouse cursor and my in-game cursor. I'm pretty annoyed, given that I just paid $40 assuming that this very standard option would be made available. Please resolve this ASAP. Thanks.
