While recording, every thing looks okay. When finished the recording starts out just as I instructed, but the selected screen setting is all black.

In sequence view and when exporting, the screen goes black on some clips and or freezes while the audio continues... but when i switch to clip view, it plays fine... so I don't know what to change/fix to prevent this.

Hi, I'm editing a video clip for an upcoming family event, and suddenly I gets black screen on the Sequence Preview tab. I can hear the audio , but cannot see the video. I'm working with 4 video tracks and I can see the preview for track 4 only. Please help 🙏 Aviram

Hello: Freshly installed Debut 8.48. All the proper steps to install it, registered the SW as well. When I play a video in a browser on my second monitor and run Debut in the 1st monitor (I choose that monitor to record), I get the audio but no video? Just black screen - I do see the browser outline. This is a Windows 10 with the 2022-07 Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 21H2 for x64 systems (OS build 19044.1865) . Flashed BIOS as well. Laptop model HP G20 with 16 GB RAM i5-6300U core Intel Tried lots of things such as starting capture service, updated the browser etc. No joy. --Sharan

I am running Debut Pro which is a fully paid version Debut professional V6.00 currently running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I have tried to find someone with a similar problem but not able to find.. Playing around with the software for a good while now and cannot correct it. When starting the program you have a copy of the Debut screen in the middle of the window. The problem is the window is Black, and cannot see the screen I want to record, so setting up colour and video effects is not possible as there is nothing to monitor other than a black screen. Yes everything records fine its just this annoying black screen that doesn't allow you to set brightness, colour, video Filter.. all that happens when you use these sliders or the filter is changes the black screen lighter or darker, no screen to tell how the effects look unless you record a test piece and playback. Thanks in advance for any help on this annoying problem, What am I doing wrong?⚠️

Hello! I just downloaded VideoPad today and the beginning ~35 seconds of my video show a black screen (missing the first clip.) The audio throughout is fine, and the video clips show up after that gap (it so happens that they start with the onset of the second audio clip.) I looked at other topics in this forum and tried exporting as an MP4/MPG, as well as making sure boxes like lossless video weren't checked. It's a simple project--I just narrated chunks of screen recording, though I imported audio files instead of narrating in VideoPad. I was on the trial version to see if I'd want to upgrade to professional, and in trying to fix this issue, I've already been blocked from exporting. Hi Im trying to edit a video where im cycling and i have other video where is showing the Map track of the ride. When i Resize and made all the necessaries things for the video of the tracking map, it covers the main video behind, with a black background. In the preview screen on the program, its showing everything as it should. Hello to everybody, I have a problem with "Record over video"command. I import a video clip, unlink audio from video and delete the audio track. Then I select the video clip and click on "Record Over Video". In the new windows I see only a black screen instead of the video clip preview. My video card is an ATI Radeon HD 4800 running on Windows 7 x64 Is there a solution of this problem? Thank you very much Francesco

I dropped a lot of money on this program with high hopes of making a bunch of zany videos with my kids but so far have only been met with hair-pulling frustration. I loaded a few images, a text effect, a video, and an audio clip playing over top of these things. All good. THEN we decided that we wanted a different video clip at the start of the movie... So this leads to the 'should be simple like on all other programs but cannot find an answer anywhere online even though many people are asking the same thing' situation. Ctrl+A highlights everything as one would expect, but when one moves the clips when they are all highlighted to move them as a group, they all snap back to the beginning of the film no matter what. I had varying results by painstakingly trying to ctrl+shift click every single clip and effect without clicking a millimeter in the wrong spot, and not all of them will move at once, seemingly randomly. So trying to move and realign each separate clip a few seconds down the timeline resulted in complete catastrophe. Now the video clip that I am trying to load appears black no matter how or where I load it, although the audio plays. The text effect still appears in the timeline, but will not appear in the video. Even if the video and text still appeared, I would now have to re-readjust every single other clip to lign up with the end of the new video at the start of the film individually, which would probably glitch out the program and destroy our work even more, so I am asking for help to try to figure this out and console the kids. What was supposed to be fun family time turned into angry confusion time. Please, please help, the dent this program put in my wallet is too large for these kind of problems!.. Thanks so much.

Hi, i'm kinda new to the forums but recently I had finished making a video in video pad and was ready to export, checking back on everything, I noticed a black preview screen for any clips where slow motion and captions are combined and active. In addition, when exporting, the video percentage will rise up fine until it reached the 1.5% length (or the 5 second mark of the video) Please help, I really do not want to restart. (I have updated video-pad to the latest version) Other projects don't seem to have this problem. Is it the vpj.? Or is it something else? Some of the percentage freezes occur at the time frame of 05:205, 05:112, 05:57, etc. All of them have the same second.

Hello there, I have a pretty weird problem here. I've been working for some hours on a personal project of mine. The majority of the video is composed of pictures I switch from colored to black and white. There are some videos included it. The problem is when I render the video, there's a specific point where the screen turns black. The audio still plays fine. At one point, I get the pictures again, but one is missing, and it's exactly when the picture comes in that the screen turns black. When rendered, however, something seemed to go wrong. There also is this issue with the text in the middle, it should be written when in the rendered product, it's only written (a character is missing). Is it caused by the fact that I have many video tracks? Is it one particular picture? Please help, I don't want to start all over again... EDIT: I see I've got a pretty old VideoPad version, could upgrading help? Also if I upgrade, will I still be able to open this project?

Hello, I am running Debut on a retina Macbook Pro with Maverick OS, I can not get Debut to access the screen for screen capture. All I get is a black screen, can anybody help please? Apart from Firefox and Debut, there are no other applications running. Thanks in advance

Okay guys,Im new with video pad and really need help with this topic.I have been editing videos with videopad and made few videos for gaming that i posted on youtube. All the videos i have are mp4 format and have been playing normaly in videopad.Few days ago i wanted to edit a different mp4 video.When i opened it in videopad the video was not showing (the whole video is black) and the only thing that plays is audio.Wasnt sure if the video was damaged so i checked it on windows media player and the video is perfectly fine and plays like it normaly does. I dont know if i should change the format of it or what,because i was able to edit it in mp4 format before. Please heeelp >_< I need to make a new video but havent been able for 2 weeks already cause i cant find the reason the videopad wont read it. >_< Thank you~
