So I used to use Videopad about 6 years ago and at the time did everything I needed for standard home use and YouTube and had no issues with it. Just yesterday I decided to start using it again as I was using Shotcut and it was giving me too many bugs and issues. Today I'm working on a video I started editing last night and I'm having issues with it (almost similar to Shotcut). Leaving the audio that came with a video linked, I just want to go through and delete certain sections out of the video. Its fine when I remove the beginning of the video, but when I remove bits from the middle, it resets the audio after the split to the very beginning of the original audio clip. I've tried disconnecting the audio from the video and editing it separately and it does the same thing. So for example if what I said didn't make sense, let's say I have a 1 minute video. I want to take out the first 10 seconds. If I do that, both the audio and video start at the 10 second mark of the original video. Okay great, now I want to remove 5 seconds from the 45 and 50 second mark. So in theory, my video should now show out of the original minute, seconds 10 to 45 and 50 to 60. The thing is, the audio at the 50 second mark will have reset itself to the very beginning. So if my video starts with me saying "Hello", it now starts from that point at the 50 second mark, instead of the audio that was originally supposed to play with the clip at 50 seconds. Really hoping this makes sense and I can get some help figuring this out!

Just installed the Debut Pro version and in the first two video screen recordings, got the lowest quality audio accompanying the video being recorded from the internet. Besides the volume being very low, the sound is Tinny, like it is enclosed in a tube. The system is a Mac, running Mojave OS 10.14.5 My system audio setting is on internal microphone, and in Debut, I used the audio Encoder set to high quality large file size. Anybody have any ideas? Hello, I'm trying to export a video so that I can post it on twitter. Unfortunately, twitter only lets you post .mp4 and .mov, and I am unable to export to these two types of files with my audio. The video exports fine, but as soon as I play it, I can't hear anything. In the previews it works fine, but not after exporting. When I export to .avi it works. I even tried exporting to Youtube but it still would not give me audio. I really need to get this video, and a few others, exported and posted ASAP. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The feature doesn't allow me to fine tune audio the way I want.

I live in a single resident occupancy unit in Oakland,ca. for 3 years I have been harassed and abused by the manager and 2other male tenants. they have been watching me in my unit. I hear them and try to record with my iPhone.it is very distorted to others but.I can hear them clearly. I don’t know where to go or what to do. Please someone help me before I go crazy, Thank you

Hi, I'm trying to compose a video using dashcam video, however the audio that Videopad presents is very different from the original clips. WavePad opens the file just fine, but anything imported to VideoPad encounters the issue. I even tried opening the videopad audio in Wavepad, and replacing with the source audio, yet it imports it back into VideoPad with the distortion again. Hello, I'm trying to put together a video to showcase a new song I'm making, but when I add the audio to the video, the audio in both the preview player and an exported video sound overly compressed, squashed, or limited. Every time there's a peak in the audio, it sounds like it hits a hard wall. Essentially, the quality of the music goes way down compared to the original song file--and the original song file isn't even that large in terms of space. Is there any way to change a setting so that way the original sound quality is preserved? This is a really big deal for me since I'm a small composer trying to get noticed :). Using Videopad - very intuitive and user friendly, thanks - but finding that when I add an audio file (in this case an MP3 of a song) it plays back sounding very compressed compared to the original I added. That typical overly-squashed sound that too much compression causes. Any ideas how I maintain the exact sound quality of the original MP3 so it sounds the same when added to the video? Is there a default compression level that videopad applies to the audio file when I add it, which I can change or preferably disable?

I record quite a few Zoom meetings and I frequently find that the presenter has their volume set too high. While recording in Debut the volume levels go way into the Red and the sound clips or distorts to the point of being annoying and harder to understand. Is there a control in Debut to dial down the source volume? Will adjusting the record volume on my computer help alleviate this problem, since I am recording with the Speakers as source?

For some reason the audio gets louder when I add it on the VideoPad. I have set this option of "automatically normalize audio" unchecked, but it's still happening. Has anyone else had the same problem? It is a problem because the audio exceeds the 0 decibel barrier. All the audio clips get an amplify and a hard limit when I add them in VideoPad. EDIT: Solved. The solution was: Menu > Tools > Options > Media > Leave the two "automatically normalize audio" boxes unchecked. Then go to Disk > and Clear Unused Cache Files. Restart VP. Thanks for the answer.

I've been using WavePad for many years, and for a few years with the Masters Edition, but I just realized that when I cut and paste audio from one wave file into another (for example, to use the introduction from one recording and the main part from a second recording) then anything pasted has much lower audio quality. This has been annoying when trying to make individual tracks from a whole concert. I have to open the original file, cut out all but what I want, save it, close out, then open up the whole concert again for the next song. If I cut and paste just what I want to a new file the audio quality sounds distant and cold. Anyone know what is going wrong? Thanks

Just paid for, downloaded and registered VideoPad. Am mid a project. Want to include some stock audio clips. I used this feature already, but now it is greyed out. So are video effects. Any idea why?

Mac Book Pro 13", macOS Big Sur up to date. VP 10.79 There is no audio for any projects, previous or new. As well the volume control which was located at the bottom is no longer available. Not liking the new layout. Controls come and go with resizing windows. No dual preview option now. Where can I download previous versions for mac? Is there a version update page showing the changes made to each version? UPDATE: In a previous version 8.9, I had the audio turned all the way down. Running 10.79 it was still down, with no control to adjust. I ran 8.9, raised the volume, then ran 10.79 to now have audio. Is there a way to load various versions, each with their own setting in the OS so the preferences from the previous version is not loaded?

I've just recently reinstalled Videopad on my Windows 10 Asus laptop. I paid $70 (that includes the taxes) for the Master's edition, and the version that I currently have right now is 10.78. I used Videopad for over a year and that was last year, so I perfectly know how to use Videopad. Unfortunately, I decided to uninstall it because it was starting to anger me with all the bugs and glitches that I had to suffer with it. At certain points it became so bad that it would literally even CRASH on me and close out the application by itself. But now I decided to reinstall it; but the problem is that the audio doesn't work. What I mean is that it won't fully process the audio clips, and it comes to the point where it feels like it will never fully process the audio clip. I decided to reinstall Videopad once again, but the problem was still there. I even checked the video files and the photo files to see if those wouldn't work as well, but they worked perfectly fine. I was also capable of editing them too. I even waited for 30 minutes straight to see if it would take a long time to process the audio since it's been a while since I've used Videpad, but it never fully processed. It would just keep saying "processing." And it's a problem because I can't look at the actual soundwaves of the audio that I'm importing into the editor, and I can't use any of the audio effects either because a message pops up saying, "Can't edit effects while audio clip is still being processed." Now keep in mind that Videopad is already on my bad side due to the bugs and glitches that I constantly had to put up with for over a year. And no, I did not install Videopad from a random website; I literally installed it from the NCH website. But now that I decide to give it a second chance and REPAY $70 in order to get the masters edition, it doesn't even work properly? That's completely ridiculous. I shouldn't have to waste my hard-earned money on something that doesn't even work properly in the first place. I just wrote a message to techinal support about half an hour ago to see if they would help me with my problem, but I felt like it would take a long time before they even see it. Not only that, but I even checked on forums to see if people were suffering with the same problem that I have, and I saw that there were people who also suffered with this. Those forums were from last year, but quite frankly I didn't really get anything out of those people. Because the people that were helping out didn't really give any real solutions or actual steps on what you can do yourself in order to resolve this issue. They were basically just saying, "Oh, just install this version of Videopad and let me know if the audio still doesn't work." They just left a link for you to click on and it would just be the videopad setup all over again. That is not help. That is just being lazy and not going into the roots of the problem. So I apologize for the very long post, but if anyone could help me and provide me with real steps on what I can do to resolve this issue, I'd really appreciate it; because I do not want to have to refund my money because of a software that doesn't even work properly when you just got it.

When I operate my video and audio equipment, it works in the space it's in. When I take the captured raw video for editing, I always need to raise the audio level, between 150 and 300%. This isn't difficult and I am almost automatic in my execution. My issue is that the sound visualization is almost a flat line. Thus when I need to edit based on sound, the visual for breaks is very difficult to find. Could we add a 'zoom' feature to the audio visualization? I'm not asking to see a smaller timeline, but a taller waveform.

I haven't worked on my slideshow for a couple of weeks. When I opened it today, it was not displaying my narration or music channels. The audio is there when I play the slideshow. If I click on the Media, the cursor is positioned to where it would be. I've cleared cached. I've tried running under Admin priv. I just updated today and installed 8.22.

Hello I am new to these forums so if this has already been answered please direct me to the post but if not well here is my problem. I have recorded some footage and put it into VideoPad but the sound is out of sync with the video, I would be fine with this if the video it self was out of sync but when I just play the raw footage it is in perfect sync. So far I have concluded that it must be something wrong with VideoPad. If there is a way to fix this in the settings or something please inform me and if you are having the same problem feel free to post as well. Thanks and have a great day.

Hi! I'm looking for a Mac OS app (for a desktop Mac, not iPhone nor iPad) that can transcribe in REAL-TIME any audio PHONE CALL made via any means such via a browser like Google's Chrome WebRTC as a VoIP line (Skype, etc). If the conversation is a 3-party conference call (or more parties) where some people speak English and others Spanish back-and-forth, I need the software to transcribe BOTH languages, and I need to SEE the transcription in REAL-TIME (not record it and afterwards transcribe it). Do you know if there’s such a product (or products as it would be nice to compare) on the market today? Skype, for example has a nice "subtitles" feature where if you turn it on, you can actually see the transcription of any and all parties involved (be it two or more) in real-time, just as I need, HOWEVER (and this is the reason it doesn’t work for me), on Skype's settings, you need to select which language you want the subtitles to be transcribe to: English OR Spanish... So if you're having a call (such as a 3-party call) where some speak English and some Spanish, Skype will only transcribe correctly the languages that you selected, but not the other one… It will create the subtitles on the other language but they won't be understandable because it is not set to transcribe in such language. i read about this problem going back a few years, it's time the crew stops thinking about selling and fix what their customers paid for Win 10, videopad 7.05 playback of screen capture, that auto creates mp4 file, plays perfectly in sync with settings of: baseline - 1920x1080 output scaled resolution - 1280x720 fps - 30 constant 30 min or 1.5 hr recording if a screen capture for @ 1 hr (+) is recorded and put into videopad to render into 2 parts each clip plays perfectly in videopad sequence preview but audio/video is way out of sync after export to mp4 file with settings of: preset - custom resolution - 1280x720 -720p constant 30fps est file size - 941mb when problem export is put back into videopad sequence preview plays it in sync please help, marty

I have recorded on VideoPad a voice only meditation and wanted to add it at the end of a video presentation with no video or images but it won't hold on the audio track. Did I do something wrong or is there there no facility to do audio only?

I can capture video (including audio) from my digitised VHS tapes by Firewire but I can only monitor video. I can watch the video being recorded. The audio is silent but the meter shows the audio volume is being detected. There is an audio button but it only stops the audio being recorded. There is no way to hear the audio being recorded. When I play the recorded video the audio plays as it should - video and audio. How can I monitor the audio during capture. I have just tried to document this again but the trial period seems to have expired as I was writing this - about 2 weeks after installing it..

Okay, so I'm having an issue where I may have accidently changed a setting. My computer isn't muted, I can hear everywhere else but on vidopad, the audio is linked. Also, the audio bar is moving as I should hear, but I can't. I cannot trim and edit at all if I can't hear PLEASE HELP I NEED IT IN A FEW HOURS! Also, I have the version 8.99 if I need an older version please tell me how to download it.

While I appreciate the music and sound files included in videopad, is it possible to have other audio files outside of videopad show in this tab? If so, is it possible to preview the audio track or sound in the software?

I am just learning to use VideoPad. I didn't realize there was a separate program for audio (WavePad Audio Editor) so I brought my single audio file into VideoPad hoping to combine it later with a PowerPoint video. I cleaned up the audio by taking sections of it out. When the file is open in VideoPad it is a vpj file. I want to save it as a wav file and upload it to Google Drive so I can listen to it while I record the PowerPoint. But every file I save and open does not seem to have my changes except when I'm in VideoPad. Thanks in advance for any help!
