Hello, I just installed the latest version of NCH Debut. (7.05) I want to record my screen in a MP4 file. Where is the option to change the recorded video file type with NCH Debut 7.05 ? Right now, I can't only record .avi which are bigger. I'm 100% sure that I was able to record MP4 file before. Is it possible to do this with version 7.05 ? Thanks for your help

Hi! How are you doing? Whenver I try to export my video (1 hour and a couple minutes), on YouTube or to my MP4, it does not work. I have the free edition and I was able to move 2 of my video's to MP4, just not this one. Is there a way I can do this now just one more time? I need to use this to put just one more video onto YouTube. If you can help, thanks Best Regards, Ryan Lashlee

Help! I'm a relatively new and basic 🤓 user of VideoPad. I am creating videos based on Zoom recordings. When I add an mp4 file to a project, that clip has pixelation 😱 which is not in the original video. How might I avoid or remove this digital noise? Help! 😷 Bardi

I recently recorded a video that I plan to upload to youtube (And I'm very sorry if I'm in the wrong forum) I used VideoPad to edit, and after every day, I would export my project as an mp4 so I would have a backup in case the project decided not to work. But once I was finally finished editing and I wanted to export it for the last time, it wouldn't let me. Instead, it said that I had to buy Videopad. When I first downloaded it, though, it said that it was free, and some elements cost money. But when I had exported my video before, it had never said that eventually I'd have to pay for it. Is there a way to export my video in the free version, or will I have to buy Videopad?

Buonasera e auguri. Da quando ho dovuto reinstallare Videopad (ver. 8.99) non mi è più possibile esporare i video finalizzati in .mp4. Provando varie impostazioni o il video mi viene esportato ma, al controllo, manca l'audio; oppure in coda di esportazione mi appare la semplice dicitura "fallita", senza nessun'altra spiegazione. Ho anche provato a riparare il software con una reinstallazione in luogo di una disinstallazione. Non so che fare: è divenuto inservibile? Grazie a chi saprà aiutarmi. -
I’m working on a project right now, and recently, I’ve been experiencing issues with the audios of my video clips. I bring multiple MP4 files into VideoPad to use as clips, and I’ve noticed for some of these clips, their audio is just flat-out gone. When I play these MP4 files as they are on my desktop, they have no issues, but it is only after I put them in VideoPad that their audio just goes missing. In the Audio Track, it just shows a thick bar rather than the sound waves, and when I zoom in, they just turn into a straight line. What could be causing this issue? It’s really annoying me, and I can’t complete my project as is. Any help is appreciated.

I'm an old user of VideoPad that just started using again. I've seen several topics in this forum that shows the same problem I'm having. I can load an .mp4 file and can hear it but not see the video. I wanted to give a little more information on the issue. VideoPad Professional v 8.96 But the interesting thing is it's not affecting all .mp4 files, just some. Here's an .mp4 file created by an old version of VP about 3 years ago. It works fine. I can read the file and see the video when I play it back. I can import it but when I play it I only get sound. When I export the video I get a message that the file is corrupt. When I save my Photostage slideshow in mp4 it wont open in Dropbox, Quicktime or in any format that I can send. I am using the free version and wanted to upgrade because I have been pleased until this glitch.

I thought having editing software would make my life easier and it has been the opposite. After numerous hours of editing I tried to upload to my channel only to find out there was an error on the program. So I tried to change the format and go directly to my channel, but no that doesn't work either. Had to uninstall and reinstall the software, but now my finished project is in mp4 format and will not load back into Videopad. So I thought if I changed it back to vpj format, then it might load. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. I hate to even think I will have to redo all my editing again, just to possibly have it error out on me during the export and upload.

Hello This is the first video I have made using Video Pad. After I export the video as an mp4 file and try to play it back, it works well for about six seconds or so and then freezes. The audio continues though and has no problems. Occasionally the video will shift to another frame, but it's still frozen. I have already cleared my cache, exited, and then tried to export again multiple times, but it still hasn't worked. The video is about three and a half minutes long and the resolution is 1080 x 1920. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

I was delighted to find the Prism software, which appeared to be straightforward and easy to use. However, when I tried to convert a short video in m2ts format to MP4, the result was a screen with green flickering all over it. I tried a couple of files, but always with the same result. I downloaded the free software from the NCH Software website, and I'm using Windows 10. The first video I tried was 131MB in its original, but I've also tried with another which was only 29.2MB - which converted into 17.3MB, I notice. Please could anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? Or could there have been a problem with the download? Thanks in advance.

I bought VideoPad about a month ago, good to go there, my question is related to both Prism and VideoPad. I was trying to convert from avi to mp4, which happened pretty quickly within Prism, but when I go to load the converted mp4 file into VideoPad, it fails, unable to open file, I believe is the error dialog, why? What am I missing?

Hi All, I have just started using VideoPad. I have a long mp4 file that I have split and exported as separate mp4 files using VideoPad. The individual files play fine in other software, but when I open them into VideoPad the files appear corrupted and do not play. I can't do anything with them. My aim was to take some of the individual files and rejoin them in a new sequence and then re-export either to a CD or new digital file. I am using the free non commercial version. I am not sure if I have done anything wrong during export to explain why VideoPad is now not recognising the new files. Has anyone had a similar experience and or can suggest a solution? Hello, I am having a problem exporting the video. It tells me to download x264enc7 and when I change the settings aacenc3. I installed them both, ran them, tried to put them in Roaming/NCH/Components/<file name without .exe> nothing worked. It keeps on telling me the untold tale of "Failed: Unknown Error". This story was at first fascinating but as time goes those 3 words become more of a trouble than a mysterious fairy tale. I looked for the problem and found ALL the threads in NCH forums about this problem so please don't send me those threads, because those didn't help. I have tried to change the settings.. everything... I got simple windows 10, and it's a very simple video of a picture and sound. What is going on? Any help would be appreciated, I like sandwich with meat by the way. I don't know if it would help the sandwich information but it's true... I am taking it seriously. I don't know what to do... I am stuck already for 4 days on this. It used to work before.

I am trying to burn a 2.4gb, 158 min mp4 video on my DVD-R which has a capacity of 8.5GB, 240min. But when I want it to burn, it saying that the file size is too big for the DVD-R, what is the problem and how can I solve this??

I captured a bunch of VHS tape using an analog-to-DV-video capture device (a SONY DVMC-DA2 media converter). The result was a huge 720x480 .avi file. I first converted this to an .mp4 file. I am trying to produce a 4x3 DVD from the .mp4 using videopad. I am struggling with getting the settings right, so that the DVD provides an image that is full screen in a 4x3 window. So far no luck. Can someone please suggest a process to getting this created? While we're at it, is there a way to reset all videopad parameters to default, to be sure I am starting out well? Thanks! Steve

I had always used mp4 because I thought it was the best and it is it's been known for it's quality thing is, for videopad preset "Youtube 480p" they put you on flv, why is that? is there a reasoning into why flv goes better with videos of this quality or something? I tried to do research but most people just tell you which one is the best and they didn't give enough specifications, so well, can someone explain it to me? I'll still be using mp4 until I get an answer

I was working on editing a video to be uploaded to Youtube through Videopad. I have worked with and edited on this software before, but when I tried to convert the vpj file to an mp4 it would load to 100%, then say that the conversion failed. I have gone through the same process 3 times with no positive results. This has actually been my least edited projects of them all. It is a string of 3 clips, all originally mp4, loaded onto the project file. There were no other edits made and the video is being converted at 60 fps and 1080p. The video is about 38 minutes long. If anyone can help with finding the reason why I am having this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everybody, I just went through quite some trouble to make a video and wanted to export it so I could use it properly, but a pop-up told me this was only for the licensed version, which seemed quite strange because just last week I was still able to export with the exact same settings in the non-licensed version. Please help me out here

I am using a MacPro 13" Retina running OSX 11.6, El Capitan. This is the same configuration that was used to record using a recorder switching app Simple Recorder. I recorded several hours of a conference to transcribe minutes of the meeting. All of the files recorded as m4a files, and play back clearly on Quicktime, 5KPlayer, and others; so the audio is there. The files load into ExpressScribe and appear to be playing, as the counter is proceeding at a normal rate. However, there is no audio, at any volume. I have tried converting to aiff, wav, and mp3 with the same results. ExpressScribe's "welcome" file plays and the audio is loud and clear. I purchased and downloaded the newest version of ExpressScribe, hoping that would help. It did not...problem persists. It sure would be nice if such a vitally important tool, had a bit of real free support...at least during the set up and configuration time.

I love Switch Sound and have used it for years. Quick question. I know it's not listed in the "supported" files but when I convert an MP4 video to MP3 Audio, it DOES convert the file but sounds like it is at double speed. I played with the conversion settings but can't seem to get it to work. Anyone know how I can accomplish this?

Hi , I am facing an Issue wrt the Files captured as Mp4 by Debut. I cannot play these back on Iphones/Ipads and also they are not "Web-optimised" Can any one help me wrt the same as i donot want to do the process of conversion from the captured file format due to lack of time... Regards sid
