Hi folks. I'm an IT contractor who just came up against the sync problem between Copper and Inventoria when my client's old POS motherboard died. After much reading and experimentation I managed to get him back up and running on a new Windows 11 PC but I had to jump through A LOT of hoops to get him there. Here's what I ended up doing (after many failed attempts to get them syncing through normal means): Recovered his data from the POS hard drive. Installed VMware Workstation Player 17 on his Windows 11 PC. Installed and activated Windows 7 Professional as a virtual machine in VMware using his dead POS's licence key. Found his OLD versions of Copper and Inventoria in his POS hard drive's Program Files folder. The installation files were there along side the executables. Note: Older versions can also be downloaded from archive.org. Installed the old versions in the Windows 7 virtual machine. Did NOT set up the company again; that was restored with the data in the next step. Copied his Copper and Inventoria folders from C:\ProgramData\NCH Software to the same location in the virtual machine and let it overwrite everything. Configured both programs for network sync. Synced his item list through the sync apps tab in Copper's Options screen. Watched a look of relief wash over my client's face. I know it seems like a lot, but it's not as bad as it seems. I hope this is helpful to some of you still waiting for that elusive patch from the NCH developers.

Hi can i run inventoria on 2 different pc with the same code registered on me, I need it like this cause in the other place were i can manage my stock i cant have internet!!!!! Thanks

Hi, Please can somebody help. I am aware you can run a report to view low levels of stock, however can anybody tell me how to set a level of low levels of stock for each item? As currently the low level stock report isn't showing any products on the report. Thanks in advance

I downloaded Copper to see if it could do what i needed. Seems like it will work fine so i entered in all my items into it one by one into copper. Now i'd like to get inventoria up and running along with it. But how do I take all the items I entered in Copper and get it over to Inventoria?

Hi, i just bought express invoice and it is working fine. Now i am testing inventoria trial version. Inventoria can be connected to express invoice. The stock in inventoria auto update in express invoice. whenever i do sales at express invoice , the quantity reduced at inventoria as expected. BUT the sales report at inventoria not updated. i can't see any sales report if i do sales at express invoice. whenever i do "sell stock" at inventoria, the sales report updated and can see sales & profit. Anyone, please advice how to fix this. Thanks Shan

Program: INVENTORIA I want to see a stock photo of each item on the main stock list- alongside each entry on the main page stock list. so that my items are easy visually identified /colour etc. there is plenty of room to add this as a column, and would vastly improve the appearance of the program and make it more user friendly.

I am having issues, anytime I create an invoice, it does not take the items out of inventoria, but instead ADDS another identical item and makes the stock negative. for instance, item number 123 will have 12 in stock. Create an invoice and now I have 2 item number 123, one with 12 one with -6. Any suggestions?? I am running the most UTD software and it is syncing.

Hi, so I've been importing a lot of items from a CSV file into Inventoria, its been working great but i noticed that there is no field for sub category, how would i add a subcategory when importing from a CSV file, I've been using: "ItemCode","Description","Category","Location","Quantity","Cost Price","Sales Price","Tax"," But clearly there is no sub category Any ideas?

Hi, Is it possible to prepopulate the values of the Requested By and Received By pull down menus in Inventoria? We currently have installed Inventoria in a server, but users access Inventoria via its web interface. However, when transactions are performed via the web Interface, only existing values can be chosen, but new values can not be entered into the pull down menus. New values can only be entered on the application itself on a real transaction. Thanks

I just want to share my experience using NCH apps especially inventoria, express acc and copper. At the beginning my first impression of NCH apps is focused on the report that not suit with my need. the report are limited and we have to process the imported csv file to make the report that we want. Previously i dont have sufficient knowledge on pos system. My interest is only to record item stock correctly. so i only use Inventoria for all in out stock record. Inventoria allow us to make purchase order, make sales, setting supplier, setting item location, even you can see the gross profit in there. But you cannot input your expense in there, so you cannot generate income report but only the difference between item sold vs item purchased automatically. The sales that you made in Inventoria will not applicable for daily sales, you cannot print proper small receipt like you have seen in the regular store. According to the Inventoria feature as told above, then i try to learn about express account. And express account actually provide you more than inventoria. you can record anything in Express Account, you can record your income from the sales or collected freight or any other income. And you can record your expense like product purchased, salary or office expense. You also can record your sales both direct non invoice sales or sales with invoice. But the paper are printed in large size (A4, legal etc) and again you cannot print small receipt in here, so i think express account are used for accounting statement and not suitable for record daily sales in your store. This will suitable for B to B selling, this will not suitable for store to customer selling. You dont use invoice in the small store instead of small receipt right?! After learn something from inventoria and express account, i give my attention to copper point of sale. You can tell that copper is only allow you to make daily sales like you have seen in mini market store around you. Once the sales/transaction are made, than the small receipt will be printed to your printer, as simple as that. In Copper you will never see the profit report, you will only see the sum of your transaction by item or by salesperson. this is make sense because Copper are designed to be operated by Store Keeper or your employee. And i think we have to agree that Profit report are something confidentially that not all people should have an access into it. In Copper you can have more that 1 account with password to start logon. One thing that still i dont understand is why copper cannot provide the sales based on the customer, though the customer feature are available before you put a transaction. SO WHAT IS THE BEST PRACTICE ? There maybe better practice out there but i just want to share my way to operate those 3 NCH apps, and i hope people can have benefit from this article. After learn Inventoria, express acc and copper, now i decided to firmly define the role and function of each apps respectively as follow : INVENTORIA --> i will only use this as stock database so i input all the product and its detail in here by import it thru csv file. I will not use inventoria to record my sales, but when the time to restocking the items has come, i will make the list of ordered item in Inventoria, and then i will receive the item in inventoria so the stock immediately updated. And how about the cost that you spend to purchased the product from your supplier? that cost are recorded in Express Account. So inventoria will be only functioned as stock database, and the cost you've spent will appear in express account. COPPER --> After you have your database in inventoria, then you have to sync it with copper. By sync it, the stock in inventoria will imported to Copper. As told before, Copper will only allow you to make daily sales transaction. And so be it! i would suggest that every sales are recorded in copper except if your business are B to B selling which need detail paper document, then I would suggest that you dont use copper but express account instead to record your sales. So again, that copper will suitable for Store-customer selling not B to B selling. EXPRESS ACCOUNT --> I think we are all want to know all detail about expense and income. So i suggest express account are functioned to record all transaction. For example, when you finish record your sales in copper, you can see the sum of your transaction daily and then record it in express account by clicking receive a payment - account : general sales. And when you spent cost for restock item, you make the list in inventoria, you receive the stock in inventoria, but you record the cost in Express account by clicking make a payment - account : product purchased. When you have to pay salary of your employee, you record it in express account by clicking make a payment - account : wages & salaries. And dont forget to periodically check the money in your bank account vs the money recorded in express account. Please see also the picture attached. By following this best practice i hope user can : - Having precise report of inventory of the items - Having detail report of expense - income report - Having detail report of the sales, and restock the item precisely - Having proper paper like receipt, invoice and order properly Last but not least, please make sure to backup your data in inventoria and express account. One important thing we should give attention is that if you have multiple business in inventoria or express account please be careful because once you restore your backup data it is applied not only to the active business but to all business that you have in inventoria/express account. so restoring your data may ruin your transaction in your other business otherwise you have to required effort to prevent it. And as the closing of this article i am sorry for my english, i hope you can understand the important message in this article. THANKS !!!!

I need to use stock from Inventoria into Express Accounts, but whenever I try this I will ask me to connect to the server which I have no clue whereabout it is. How canI link Inventoria to Express Accounts on my Macbook without many hassles? Thanks

Hi i having this problem if anyone could help, My Item in inventoria : 45 2.5/8 X 3.1/2 X 3/8 Please take a look that we have space after each words, But when i type in Inventoria 2.5/8 X 3.1/2 nothings shows up. Even if i put 45 2. nothings shows up to. Tried " " and * and etc but nothing works, any solutions? Thank you.

I am using Inventoria Stock Manager to manage our inventory and Express Invoice for generating invoices and selling. I find that the quantities are not always being updated in Inventoria when an item is sold and I can't view sales history on any items because nothing shows up under sales history in Inventoria, even though they've been sold in Express Invoice. As far as I can see, there is no sales history report for items in Express Invoice that I can run either. Please help. How do I make this work?

Specs: Inventoria Stock Manager v 3.45 Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit Manually backing up to shared network folder or local USB drive works fine, with no UAC or other permission issues encountered for basic user. The backup scheduler is enabled before clicking 'Back up Now' or 'Save'. Neither button seems to activate the scheduler. Computer is on 24/7, and Inventoria is running pretty much all the time. Have not attempted administrator login or 'run as administrator' yet.

I'm using Inventoria and Express Invoice. Syncing my products from Inventoria to Express Invoice is working except for the quantities. I'm using multiple locations and every time I update a location the quantities for the other locations are set to zero. Is it only possible to work with one location or is this a syncing error?

Good Evening, I hope someone can help here.... I have installed the following Plus others.... Express Accounts Express Invoice Inventoria Copper POS I would like to know when making a purchase order inside Inventoria i do not get a sync with Express accounts not even if i make the purchase order in Express Accounts i do not get the order inside Inventoria, do i really have to print each and every purchase order i make and then re enter them into express Accounts? This make my day so long winded! the idea of getting this full suite was to make things easier. When i use Express Invoice it do not copy over any invoices or customers when making a invoice (i use this for when i am on the road or at a clients business) to express accounts, I use Copper on the front desk but again this do not seam to add my takings for the day into express accounts. So what i am asking is.... do i have to re enter all my data from each station into my express accounts for the end of day? just seams to waste a lot of time at this time and one reason i thought i would come here and ask others or admins. One last thing, When i purchased the full business suite (i got it on version 5.07) i was given a free upgrade to the latest one at the time, i done so.... i had a hard drive crash a few weeks back and built a new back office pc but now i can not register 5.10 (This was the updated version at the time of purchase) as it says it is a upgrade, This has really annoyed me now as i was using the newer version on all the business apps until the crash. OK Guys, I have a major issue syncing quantity values between Express Invoicing & Inventoria Stock Control. Inventoria Stock has 2 locations and is sync'd to 1 primary location. When I generate a invoice indicating a item sale the sync generates incorrect negative quantity.. ? I have manually set inventoria stock level to 10000 items in stock, my sales report in Express Invoicing searches all invoices (5 x invoices) and returns number of items in each invoice listed. If I add all the items listed I get = 110 items which is correct, but when I open Inventoria my quantity is -249,489.? How does this sync work, I am struggling to see where the issue may lay. I have reset all stock item quantities to 10000 and manually sync'd but again the item numbers don't add up when I generate an invoice. What options do I have, do I need to delete all stock in Inventoria and migrate backwards from Express Invoicing...... Please help. Thanls

Buenas. Ya poseo el software de Inventoria y estoy interesado en contar con el software de Express Invoice y Express Accout. Estuve probando con la ultima versión y no consigo enviar las Facturas del Express Invoice al programa de Express Account. Resulta que a mi empleado no le quiero dar las credenciales de acceso al programa Express Account porque no quiero que vea los costos de los inventarios, la contabilidad, etc. En cambio, si le daré acceso al Express Invoice para que lleva la cuenta de los clientes, las facturas, los pagos, etc. Ahora, todos esos datos del Express Invoice no consigo sincronizar con el Express Account. Encontré la opción de traer los datos, de cargar en csv, pero no consigo sincronizarlo como con Inventario. ¿Existe alguna forma? O en todo caso, con el software de Express Account, con el perfil de usuario (no administrador), seria posible elegir que puede ver y que no en la pagina web, ya que deseo ocultar lo que es la contabilidad en especial y que no vea los costos del inventario, solo sus precios de ventas. Hi, I have try to sync Express Accounts with Inventori. I check settings for each soft separately and it allows me to connect to web than I allow Express Accounts to sync with Inventoria, when I retrieve locations it works but when I update, it says " file Download fail ".

Hi All, I have installed copper and inventoria in a same machine and I have done syncing also between these two software. I have added a new item in both Inventoria and Copper POS with same Item code on both. I have done a bill in Copper POS in the item which entered both with same bar code. After the bill there is no stock change in Inventoria, the stock quantity still remain same. Kindly suggest me how to add new item to get the stock change impact from copper to Inventoria.
