  1. If anyone is actually thinking about replying to this post please don't worry. I have moved on from Mixpad. Very disappointed with Mixpad, I paid the money and bought the program however nobody could offer any help when things went wrong. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
  2. Hello Having problems recording again! I did some recording end of last year and everything was fine. Yesterday I tried to do some recording but could only get sound on left side of channel. Today I tried and could record nothing. These are the recording options I have for the track settings: Default sound in Line in (2 – Scarlett solo) Asio Focusrite Scarlett solo This is what happens when I select each of those options: Default sound in – I select the stereo or mono option. On the left channel is the option ‘windows record mixer’ on the right channel the option is ‘master volume’ but these are greyed out. There is some movement in the level meter but no real indication of sound coming in. When I click on the record button the cursor moves but nothing records. Line in (2 – Scarlett solo) – I have the option of stereo/mono I select stereo (the results are the same for mono). The channel options are not there but there are greyed out options as described above. When I click on record I get an error message – ‘There is a problem with the recording device you have selected for this track……….’ Asio Focusrite Scarlett – I select the stereo (or mono) option and left channel input 1 and right channel input 2. No input shows on the level meter and the cursor moves but nothing records when I click on the record button On the windows sound settings ‘line in ( 2-Scarlett solo)' is selected as the default device and the device is working properly. The greyed out options in 1 and 2 channel boxes are new, I have never seen those before. There has been a windows 10 forced update since recording last year. Appreciate any help Garry

    Slow playback?

Hello I have this problem too. Today everything I have recorded plays at 40-50 bpm. Today I recorded a midi file and had a play around editing the file. After that I loaded a project I am working on and it played at 40-50 bpm. I loaded another project and it was the same, everything I have recorded now plays at 40-50 bpm. This is frustrating, just about every time I open Mixpad something is not going right. regards Garry
  4. Hi Ben Have no idea what is going but everything is ok now!? thanks for all your help Garry
  5. Hi This time, ..............there is no indication of sound (on track level meter) coming into mix pad. As far as I can tell all settings are right. Level indicator on Focusrite interface shows sound there. appreciate any help Garry
  6. Hi Ben I think I may have found a solution to the problem. After a lot of looking around on the Focusrite site I found that the interface should be connected to a USB 3.0 port if the computer has an AMD processor (that's me). So I have done this and everything seems fine (so far). Thanks for your help Garry
  7. Hi Ben No, other music plays fine for example through WMP. If I play what I have recorded in Mixpad with the Focusrite unplugged then the recordings play fine. After having several more attempts at sorting the problem I think it is not really that the recording is distorted on playback through the Focusrite but it is just very noisy little bit hard to tell the dB meter is not peaking out thanks Garry
  8. Hi Ben In response to your questions: 1. distortion is constant throughout 2. yes 3. yes same distortion, previously they played fine. Since I posted my question I have found out there is a Focusrite control panel which I found after clicking on 'options' button, the general tab, click on the spanner icon. The Focusrite control panel has three options recording-balanced-mixing the balanced option was selected. It makes no difference to the distortion which option is selected. Also in the control panel is 'Asio default sample rate' which was set at 44100 and also 'Asio default buffer size' which was set at 256 samples. The control panel also tells me the 'Asio input latency is 16.5ms, the 'Asio output latency' is 16.5ms and the 'Asio total latency' is 32.9ms thanks Garry
  9. Hi After recording, playback through Focusrite Solo is distorted. However if I change settings and playback through speakers play back sound is good. Previously playback through Focusrite has been good. Just started a new project and this happens. As far as I know all the settings are correct. Sorry title should read Playback
  10. Hi Ben Thanks for your help. I looked at "audio options" but still no luck. I tried to record on the old computer - windows 7 - usb interface was not recognised so I tried on two other computers (and with a different cable) same result so I think the problem is in the usb interface. I will take it to the shop and have them look at it. Thanks again regards Garry
  11. Can't record on new computer using windows 10. Click record button on track control panel no input shows. When I click on main record button nothing happens, cursor does not even move. USB interface is installed and recognized by Mixpad.
